Oceanside artist goes with the flow when making paper lanterns

When sculptor William Leslie crafts his sea-inspired paper lanterns, he lets Zen be his guide.

That's because when the Oceanside resident isn't crafting light fixtures out of paper and wood he is teaching philosophy as an adjunct professor at both Palomar College and Cal State San Marcos.

"I'm not a New Age airhead," he joked, "but I do believe in the idea of losing yourself in the creative process and going with the flow."
