FRENCH VALLEY ---- Harley Thomas Langley, 51, the former president of the foundation that helped build Temecula's Community Recreation Center, pleaded guilty Tuesday at the Southwest Justice Center to stalking and possessing methamphetamine, according to court records.

Langley, of Murrieta, is scheduled to serve 150 days in county jail on consecutive weekends and will be placed on probation for three years for stalking his wife, Anita Langley, Riverside County Superior Court documents state. He will begin serving the time April 30, records state.

In an agreement between both sides in the case, because Langley pleaded guilty to the drug possession count, three other drug-related charges were dropped. A vandalism count originally related to the stalking case was also dismissed.

Neither Langley nor his attorney could not be reached for comment Thursday.

Langley was arrested last year after Murrieta police, following up on a report that Langley had violated his wife's restraining order against him, found methamphetamine in the coat pocket of a tuxedo in his home, authorities said.

As a result of Tuesday's guilty plea, Langley also must enroll in a 52-week domestic violence program, court records state.

Langley was a founder and past president of the Community Recreation Center Building Foundation, which raised money to build the center on Rancho Vista Road in Temecula. The amphitheater at the site is named after him.

Langley also was named the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 1991 largely for his work with the foundation.
