Three injured in East County rollover

COTTONWOOD - Three people were slightly injured when a pickup truck overturned in rural East County today, knocking down a power pole and leaving live wires on the road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash on Willow Glen Drive just east of Hillsdale Road happened about 1:45 p.m., CHP Officer Phil Konstantin said.

Those hurt suffered only minor injuries, Konstantin said.

The downed power lines blocked the road, until San Diego Gas & Electric work crews removed them, he said.

Authorities reopened the road at 3:40 p.m., Konstantin said.
