Jack Beck, 52
MENIFEE ---- Jack Thor Beck, 52, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at his home.
He was born April 20, 1952, in Oceanside. He was a truck driver. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Beck is survived by his wife, Cathy Jo Beck of Menifee; son, Michael Flick of Lake Elsinore; daughters Amanda Garcia of Menifee and Kimberely Lymon of Wildomar; and six grandchildren.
Private interment is planned.

Muriel Bentley, 88
LAKE ELSINORE ---- Muriel Elizabeth Bentley, 88, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at her home.
She was born July 2, 1916, in Urvana, Ill. She was a waitress for 20 years.
Mrs. Bentley was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Edith Bullock Bailey. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert Macomber Bentley; daughters Linda Arnold of Bakersfield and Andrea Adams of Corona; sons Chris Bentley of Mission Viejo, Brian Bentley of Heber City, Utah, and Craig Bentley of San Diego; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory in Sun City. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, staging area No. 2, with Bishop Brian Bentley officiating.

Margaret Stevens, 81
MURRIETA ---- Margaret I. Stevens, 81, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at her home.
Born Feb. 21, 1923, in Metheringham, England, she lived in Murrieta for seven years. She was a homemaker for 60 years. She enjoyed floral arranging and was a member of the ski club in Big Bear.
Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Russell; son Todd Stevens; sister, Beatrice; and brothers, Jack, Tommy and Nathaniel. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Billie Stevens of Murrieta; sons and daughters-in-law Cliff and Carol Stevens of Seattle and Kent and Bonnie Stevens of San Clemente; daughters and son-in-law Beverly Donat of Lake Forrest, and Jodi and Tom Nickel of Murrieta; grandchildren Lynn, Natalie, Thad, Jason, Travis and Presley; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at The Colony Clubhouse in Murrieta. A private cremation is planned.

Georgia Joba, 81
OCEANSIDE - Georgia Joba, 81, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at Glenbrook Skilled Nursing Home.
Born March 3, 1923, in Carlsbad, she lived in Oceanside all her life. She worked at Convair during World War II. She was an associate member of the American Association of Retired Persons. She was active with the Camp Fire Girls.
Mrs. Joba was preceded in death by her husband, William Joba, Feb. 17, 2001.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul Joba and Ellie Vanarelli of Vista; brother Roger Dawson of Carlsbad; and sister Grace Robirbs of Elan Forest.

Sterling Klink, 88
VISTA - Sterling W. Klink, 88, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at Tri-City Medical Center of pneumonia.
Born May 30, 1916, in Flint, Mich., he lived in Vista for 15 years. He retired in 1978 from Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Rosemead, where he was master of the lodge for two terms. He was a volunteer for Vista Nutrition Center as a lunch tray server and desk attendance daily for 14 years.
Mr. Klink was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Klink, in August 1989; daughter Sue Wright; and son Dennis Klink. He is survived by his sons, Gary Klink of Los Angeles, Sterling R. Klink of Pasadena and Leo Klink of Rancho Bernardo; grandchildren Alan, Janice and John; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier.

George Larkins, 75
SAN MARCOS - George J. Larkins, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at his home.
Born April 12, 1929, in Owensville, Ind., he lived in San Marcos for 14 years, and Carlsbad for five years previously.
He was an electrical engineer for Ford Motor Co. for 28 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Big Bear.
Mr. Larkins is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean J. Larkins of San Marcos; daughters and sons-in-law Sherry and Joel Stoltz of Costa Mesa and Connie and David Key of Murrieta; brother and sister-in-law Jesse and Jera Larkins of Owensville, Ind.; sisters Virginia Walls of Abilene, Texas, Jane Brown of Mount Carmel, Ill., and Pat Geiselman of Fort Branch, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
Viewing will be available at the funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Allen Bros. Mortuary, San Marcos Chapel, 435 N. Twin Oaks Valley Road in San Marcos with Rick Schlottman officiating.
Burial will follow at San Marcos Cemetery, 1021 Mulberry Drive in San Marcos.

RAMONA - Shane Price, 25, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004.
He was born Aug. 6, 1979, in California. He graduated from Woodland Park High School in Woodland Park, Colo., in 1997. He was a Chargers' fan.
Mr. Price is survived by his parents, Nora and Kevin Price of Ramona; and brother Chris Price of Ramona.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at the home of his parents in Ramona.

Douglas Winberg, 57
RAMONA - Douglas Winberg, 57, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004.
He was born April 1, 1947, in Syracuse, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a combat infantryman with the 25th Infantry Division.
Mr. Winberg is survived by his companion, Kitty Cantrell of Ramona; and mother Betty Winberg of Fort Collins, Colo.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Bonham Bros. & Stewart Mortuary in Ramona.

FALLBROOK - Ralph L. King, 94, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at Pomerado Hospital in Poway of natural causes.
Born July 29, 1910, in Gallagher, W.Va., he lived in Fallbrook for 24 years. He retired in 1980 from the culinary union.
Mr. King was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy King, in 1982.

NORTH COUNTY - Barbara L. Pimkowski, 50, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, in Vista.
Born Oct. 5, 1954, in Escondido, she lived in North County all her life. She was a personal banker with Bank of America.
Mrs. Pimkowski is survived by her husband, Joseph Pimkowski of Vista; mother Effie Fenton of Vista; son Joey Pimkowski of Vista; brother Don Fenton of Vista; and sister Betty Best of Vista.

Karen Parker, 64
CHICO - Karen Parker, 64, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004.
Born Feb. 27, 1940, in New Hampton, Iowa, she lived in Fallbrook from 1957 to 1981. She co-owned Fallbrook Civil Engineering. She graduated from Fallbrook High School and attended classes at Palomar College. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She enjoyed playing games and reading.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband, Bob Parker of Chico; parents Virgil and Frances Wedeking; sons John and Robert Jr.; daughters Kathryn and Mary; brothers Wayne, Vance and Bruce; and 11 grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Chico. A private burial at the new Catholic cemetery in Orland is planned.

ESCONDIDO - Norman Taylor, 79, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at his home of natural causes.
Born Sept. 26, 1925, in Canada, he lived in Escondido for 77 years. He worked at Convair in aerospace. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his son, Jim Jones; and granddaughters Jennifer Jones and Danielle Walker. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Betty Taylor of Escondido; sons and daughters-in-law Tom and April Jones, and Marilyn Jones; daughters and sons-in-law Susan and Randy Mapel and Sharyn and Steve Walker; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. today, Dec. 29, at El Camino Memorial, Sorrento Valley Chapel, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road in San Diego with the Rev. Bruce Clegg officiating.
His cremains will be scattered at sea.

VISTA - Robert E. Seiberlich, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Tri-City Medical Center.
Born July 18, 1925, in St. Paul, Minn., he lived in Vista for 18 years. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
Mr. Seiberlich is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois H. Seiberlich of Vista; daughters and sons-in-law Nancy and Jerry Brian of Caledonia, Mich., and Cathy and Don Spillman of Orange Park, Fla.; and grandchildren Donny and Amy.
No services will be held at the request of the deceased. A private cremation is planned.

Born Jan. 20, 1928, in San Antonio, she lived in San Marcos for seven years. She was a homemaker and a food service worker.
Mrs. Alvarez was preceded in death by her husband, Aurelio Alvarez, in 1986; and son Paul Cardenas in 1970.
She is survived by her daughters, Pauline Martinez of San Marcos, and Delfina Perez, Becky Cardenas, Corine Reyes, Andrea Lara and Belinda Cardenas, all of San Antonio; sons George Cardenas of San Marcos, Tony Cardenas of Temecula, and Richard, Robert, Henry, David, Daniel Cardenas, Raymond Cardenas, Jesse Cardenas, Luis Cardenas, William Alvarez and Rudy Hernandez, all of San Antonio; brothers George Hernandez and Fidel Hernandez, both of San Antonio; sisters Andrea, Frances and Janie, all of San Antonio; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

SAN MARCOS -- Steve R. Warford, 75, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004.
Born Oct. 12, 1929, in Traskwood, Ark., he lived in San Marcos for six years. He was a tugboat captain for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a volunteer for the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Mr. Warford was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Jean Warford, in 1998. He is survived by his daughters, Melanie DeLeon of San Marcos and Pennie Carpino of Corona; son Richard Elder of Washington; sisters Louise Williams, Lavita Cunningham, Marie Harvel, Dorothy McDaniels and Betty Davidson; grandchildren Richard, Jeff, Stephanie, Rhonda, Jamie, Jeremy, Joel, Justin, Jason and Buffie; and 16 great-grandchildren.

SAN MARCOS - Harriet Leah Walter Bowman, 94, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at Village Square Nursing Center.
Born Nov. 10, 1910, in Olivenhain, she lived in Vista previously. She was a homemaker for 74 years.
Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her first husband, Robley Donald Walter, in 1942; and second husband Charles E. Bowman in 1983.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Joan Walter of Vista; daughters and sons-in-law Dorothy M. and Jack Hoelzle of Vista and Gayle Y. and Harold Beard of San Marcos; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Lillian Brown
Lillian was born August 24, 1917, in London, Ontario, Canada.
She went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, December 25, 2004. She was a resident of Escondido from 1972 until her death. She graduated from Toronto, Ontario Theological College and became a United States citizen in 1963. She was an executive secretary and bookkeeper for the Roberts family in their various companies from 1957 until her retirement in 1990.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Florence Dorey; twin brother Albert; brother Arthur; first husband Jack Delegran in 1970; and second husband Charles M. Brown in 1994.
Lillian was Aunt Lill to seven nieces and one nephew and their families in Ontario. She was a special aunt to Arthur, Barbara and Sarah Dorey.
Lillian loved music and played the piano and organ in each church she attended. For many years she was the pianist and organist at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Escondido. Her latest musical offering was at the Hidden Valley Chapel in Escondido. Lillian enjoyed crafts and was noted for her porcelain dolls.
Lillian will be missed by her special friends, Betty and Jim Roberts, Terrie Jacobson, Doris and Virgil Albertson, Kim Forrest and Rosa and Lonnie McBride.
Her family and friends wish to thank the staff of Villa del Rey and Vitas Hospice for their loving care.
A memorial service will be held at Villa del Rey, 1351 E. Washington Ave. in Escondido, Calif., at a later date in January. Her friends will be contacted so they may attend.
Private interment at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, Calif. is planned.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Virginia L. Miller of Murrieta; mother, Melba Sophia Mullett, and father, Carl Walter Miller, both of Weehawken, Utah; sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Nina Miller, Michael and Tina Miller and John and Molly Miller, all of Temecula; and three grandchildren.
