She went down fighting, but Denise, the Los Angeles homemaker whose favorite foods include lobster and Shake and Bake pork chops, was eliminated last week from the CBS reality show, "Wickedly Perfect."

The style challenge was to remodel a 19th-century carriage house, adding a dining room and a fitness area to two existing bedrooms. Competitors were given an hour to shop, $15,000 to spend, and 48 hours to get the job done, including their individual project ---- to gift-wrap a package without using wrapping paper.

The Crafty Beavers continued strong on teamwork, although Mitch put the psychological screws to Darlene.

Previous eliminations and transfers reduced Team Artisan to Denise, Dawn and Kimberly. During the renovation, Dawn and Kimberly spent precious time scraping paint from two wood doors. Kimberly used her building skills to create a headboard, scoring a coup by obtaining attractive molding for it in a trade with Mitch for much-needed staples.

Team Artisan ran into trouble assembling exercise equipment for their fitness room. Kimberly took a food break, leaving Denise and Dawn to come up with a skimpy solution.

Kimberly's headboard impressed the judges, but it wasn't enough to gain a win for her team. And her gift-box project joined Denise's on the judges' worst-dressed list, landing them in the hot seat.

Despite Kimberly's "lackadaisical" work ethic, Dawn, the first-grade teacher from Texas voted her heart and chose Kimberly to stay.

Next up: A team's ignorance of the rules results in something being disqualified; one judge becomes a tie-breaker when the others disagree on the winning team.
