Anne Sertic

Anne Catherine Darst Sertic, 77, died November 21, 2001, of complications due to dementia.

She was born June 20, 1924, in St. Louis, Missouri. Anne married Walter Sertic in 1943. They were married 58 years.

Anne graduated from Flintridge Sacred Heart High School in Pasadena in 1942, and attended San Fernando Valley State College.

She loved to cook and entertain friends. In 1967, she won a sweepstake prize in a recipe contest, a 12 day vacation for two to Hawaii.

She was an avid reader, loved playing bridge, writing stories and discussing world events. She loved flowers, sea shells, interesting rocks and the ocean. She was a friend to all, kept every shared secret and looked for good in every person.

Anne is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Robert Ebert and Sharon and Gary Markley; son Brian Sertic; brother and sister-in-law Larry and Betty Darst; cousin Jill Pack; grandchildren Christine Geier, Suzanne Gibson, Steven Markley, Teri Shen, Mark Ebert, Jennifer Sertic and Kathryn Warner; and five great-grandchildren.

She has been gone from us three years and we still miss everything about her; her smile, her joy, her kindness and her love.
