Volunteers are being sought by the Riverside County Superior Court to be part of a community focus group that periodically meets with area judges.
The committee consists of 25 people and has three openings. The court is seeking applicants for those openings.
Members of the committee meet with judges to discuss community needs and issues relating to the courts.
Applicants should be people involved in community leadership, the business sector, or other identifiable constituencies, according to court officials. Those who organize community forums or speak regularly on community issues in public settings are encouraged to apply, as are local government officials, and officers of trade or professional organizations.
Those interested should contact Suzie Slaughter at (951) 304-5325. Information and an application form is available under the What's New section of the court's Web site, www.courts.co.riverside.ca.us/
Applications will be accepted through Monday, court officials said.
