JMAR system passes test

CARLSBAD ---- JMAR Technologies Inc., a Carlsbad-based maker of plasma lithography devices for making semiconductor chips, successfully completed its 60-day water-monitoring test program with the city of Anaheim. JMAR's BioSentry System was installed in Anaheim's City Hall West to test its ability to detect the presence of cryptosporidium and other unknown pathogens in a water distribution system.

Cryptosporidium is one of the major pathogens identified by the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Homeland Security as a contaminant that, if introduced into a water supply, could cause severe facility disruption and possible fatalities.

Landmark sets up loan center
