September 9, 2006
Devoted and loving mother, survived by her daughters, Mikel Mary, Mildred Kathleen, Maureen Helen, and her two sons, Charles Matthew and Thomas Dennis, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.
It is with great grief and sense of loss that we make this announcement. We feel blessed to have her in our lives, but will miss her presence among us terribly.
She walked her place in time with dignity and grace, humor and depth, and a knowingness that continually comforted us all. She was a friend and confidant, she guided us through our crises, she saved us when we were lost, she thoroughly enjoyed us when we were whole, and she loved us fiercely until she had to go. We are capable and confident people because she taught us how.
Whoever wishes to honor Helen at her memorial service, please call (310) 459-3323 for details between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. or send an e-mail inquiry to mhoganzweig@yahoo.com.
