Something special brewing
By: DRAYTON FLORENCE - For the North County Times | ∞
Last week was a big win for us but the good teams take a win and move on. We face a good team this week in San Francisco. In order for us to be successful we must prepare just as we did last week.
For me, beating the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers was special, and to have a big play that helped turn the game around made it even better. We have made a lot of strides as a defensive team this year and we are continuing to get better.
To see my quarterback, Philip Rivers, excel each week also feels good. This team is the best I have been on in my four years in San Diego. For the fifth week in a row our defense ranks No. 1 in pass defense, run defense and overall defense. We intend to keep that up.
