Mrs Jillings has frequently said she represents the "Latino Community". If she hasn't figured out that there are a lot of people that are unhappy with her views, she doesn't really represent that community. I think Mrs Jillings is over-reacting just a tad.

This time, as last time, it is a woman candidate who is being threatened. Are we in Vista going to stand idly by a let this sort of thing happen in our political process? Our City? Our America? Clean up the politics, then clean up the city. Kind of hard to complain about the gangs and other issues in the city when we allow terrorist activity to take place in our poitical process.

She doesn't even deserve the time of day from them, but since they are who they are, they will still try to help her. So many people have been put off by her, though, that the suspect list would be way too long. She shouldn't get her hopes up about solving this one. It will be next to impossible. One last comment. If she is so scared by a little threat and a minor act of vandalism, how does she think these people feel who are robbed at gun point, assaulted, and beaten by all these guys who she is so quick to defend. These guys she defend cause much more havoc to their victims than she is experiencing right now.

Maybe it's just sexism in Vista wrote on Nov 13, 2006 1:52 PM:Might it be an issue of sexism in Vista Politics? As I recall Patty Anderson, running for VUSD, was threatened during this campaign. Now we hear that Tina Jillings is also threatened. However, one was pushing for English and quality education in the local schools and the other for rights of (illegal) aliens. These two issues appear to be related only in as much as it is the aliens who are being hurt by not getting a proper education and thus not integrating into American culture (of course our own children are being hurt by overcrowded and under-funded schools due to undocumented children). Anderson nearly won her race (and may still, as she is only 418 votes behind with votes still outstanding), while Jillings was resoundingly beaten (politically speaking). Yet, both received threats! Why? Is it that they are women? True, Herrera, Jaka, and Ritter seemed to go unfettered. But, why these two? Are we overlooking something here? Is there some other underlying issue that we are not seeing? The main thing is that our form of Representative Democracy CAN'T stand if people are afraid to run for office. Therefore, we TRUE Americans MUST stand up for democracy and FREEDOM! Get involved and help clean up the political foulness running amuck in our City, County, State, and Nation. God Bless America!

However, if the reports are accurate, there were no witnesses, and the only evidence is the paint itself, which is probably sold off the shelf at about 100,000 different stores nationwide. The term “Palestine” or “Palestinians” is completely ‘made up’, just as Ms. Jillings made up these stories to garner sympathy and support. The Jews, historically -and by right of ‘spoils of war’ rightfully own ALL of the land they are and did occupy. And, Bonnie Dumanis OUGHT to investigate Ms. Jillings for making up false crimes and filing FALSE Police reports; a crime in itself. The Sheriffs Deputies who investigated could find NO evidence and believe it all to be ‘made up’. I say that a Grand Jury be convened to investigate the ‘crimes’ against Ms. Jillings, and let the cards fall where they may.
