RAMONA ---- Organizers of the 2007 Ramona Rodeo Queen Pageant are accepting applications from young women interested in vying for this year's local Senior Rodeo Queen, Junior Rodeo Queen, Young Miss and Little Miss titles.
The pageant will be held March 31 and is open to girls and young women who live in San Diego County, have never been married and meet the pageants' age requirements. The age ranges are 17 to 23 for the rodeo's senior queen pageant, 14 to 16 for the junior queen title, 11 to 13 for the Young Miss contest, and 8 to 10 for the Little Miss competition.
Contestants must also be able to ride a horse and provide transportation for themselves and the horses they ride.
Pageant participants will be judged on their horsemanship, rodeo and equine knowledge, and performance during personal interviews, personal speeches and question-and-answer sessions. A pre-pageant clinic will begin in January.
