DENVER -- U-S Senator Wayne Allard says he has arranged a meeting for Monday in Washington between a bipartisan group of senators and immigration officials to talk about last month's raids on meat-packing plants.
Allard said U.S. Senators Orrin Hatch of Utah, Norm Coleman and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, Tom Harkin and Charles Grassley of Iowa and John Cornyn of Texas are scheduled to attend the briefing.
Michael Chertoff, head of the Department of Homeland Security, also will attend.
Nearly 13-hundred people were arrested.
