SOLANA BEACH ---- North Coast Repertory Theatre has hired Misti Cain as director of marketing and public relations. Cain was previously director of communications for the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.
Fischer becomes a president at Pardee
SAN DIEGO ---- Beth Fischer of Solana Beach has been named division president-San Diego for Pardee Homes. She has helped entitle and develop Pardee's Pacific Highlands Ranch master-planned community in Carmel Valley.
Centre for Health Care adds Balikian
RANCHO BERNARDO ---- The Centre for Health Care has added Philip Balikian to its Rancho Bernardo Medical Centre.
The center also offers patient care in Ramona and Poway.
Two new faces at Island Staffing
OCEANSIDE ---- Island Staffing, a technology staffing firm in Oceanside, has added local residents Nevalyn Annese and Chelsea Irion to its staff.
Pacific Ridge picks athletic director
CARLSBAD ---- Pacific Ridge School says that Darren Lawlor is joining the staff as the school's director of athletics. He has held management positions at Spalding Sports and Callaway Golf.
Maslak inducted into Hall of Fame
SAN DIEGO ---- Michael Maslak, president and chief executive officer of North Island Credit Union, was recently inducted into the Credit Union Executives Society's Hall of Fame during the national CEO Network at the Four Seasons Resort Aviara in Carlsbad.
Coval part of advisory panel
SAN DIEGO ---- BizSanDiego has named Carlsbad resident Larry Coval, director of sales at Cox Business Services, to its advisory board.
Hutchison at Clarkston Consulting
CARLSBAD ---- Clarkston Consulting, a management and technology consulting firm, announced that Charles Hutchison has joined the firm as an associate partner in the Carlsbad office.
Shelton on Brookfield sales team
WINCHESTER ---- Brookfield Homes has added Temecula resident Aimee Shelton to the sales team at its new-home community of Acacia at Morningstar Ranch in Winchester.
Resort rewards hole-in-one winners
LA COSTA ---- Two golfers from La Costa Resort and Spa hit a hole in one during the "N.O.A. Watch Challenge" at the resort, each winning a limited-edition N.O.A. watch valued at $3,200. They were Keith Clark and Mike Henderson.
Two new faces at Psomas
SAN DIEGO ---- Gerry Seelman has joined Psomas as the new group leader of transportation and public works, and Robert A. Blasberg has been hired as a project manager.
Psomas has an office in Carlsbad.
H.G. Fenton employees lauded
SAN DIEGO ---- H.G. Fenton Co. employees recently were honored at the San Diego County Apartment Association's annual Mark of Excellence awards program. They included: Jennifer Crooker of Evening Creek in Sabre Springs, first place Rental Manager of the Year for projects with 101 to 300 units; Art Panzer of Solana Highlands in Solana Beach, third place Leasing Professional of the Year for projects one to 250 units and third place Maintenance Supervisor of the Year for projects one to 250 units; and Ana Sosa of Solana Highlands, third place Maintenance Service Technician of the Year.
Mackey to serve as regional director
SAN DIEGO ---- Joe Mackey, president and chief executive officer of XL (Excell) Security Service Inc., has been elected to the 2007 board of directors of the California Association of Licensed Security Agencies, Guards and Associates. He will serve as regional director of San Diego County's chapter.
White teams up with Motorola
Motorola Inc. says that Olympic gold medalist and professional snowboarder Shaun White, a Carlsbad resident, is the newest ambassador for the MOTO RED product line. A portion of the product line's profits are donated to the Global Fund to invest in African AIDS programs.
SeneGence recognizes distributors
NORTH COUNTY ---- Mariann Babikian of Del Mar and Sandra Curtis of Escondido have been recognized for sales as distributors with SeneGence International.
Also, Sonya McDougal of San Marcos has joined SeneGence as a distributor for the direct seller of cosmetics and skin care products.
Sheehy to become space agent
RANCHO BERNARDO ---- Jim Sheehy of Protravel International Inc. was chosen by Virgin Galactic to become an accredited space agent in North America. His training will begin in 2007, and once accredited, he can begin reserving seats, with the first flights launching in late 2008.
