Tax help available

Free tax filing assistance is available for low- and moderate-income residents through April 15.

Appointments are recommended and are scheduled one hour apart. Participants must bring a Social Security or tax identification number for everyone in the household, a photo identification, W2 and 1099 forms from each job worked in 2006, end-of-year statements for other income, childcare provider name, address and tax ID number, copy of 2005 federal tax return and, for renters credit, landlord name, address and phone number.

- Sun City Civic Association, 26850 Sun City Blvd.; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. 679-5330.

- Mary Phillips Senior Center, 41845 Sixth St., Temecula; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays. 694-6464.

- Murrieta Senior Center, 41717 Juniper St.; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays. 304-7275.

- Lake Elsinore Library, 400 W. Graham; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays. 677-7834.

- Lake Elsinore Senior Center, 420 E. Lakeshore Drive; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Fridays. 674-2526.

- Cornerstone Community Church, 34570 Monte Vista Drive, room at back of the church, No. 319, Wildomar; from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursdays. 677-7834.
