California condor lays egg in Mexico

SAN DIEGO ---- A California condor has laid an egg in Mexico for the first time since at least the 1930s, biologists at the Zoological Society of San Diego announced Monday.

Vets warn of other pet food recalls

SAN DIEGO COUNTY ---- The San Diego Veterinary Medical Association warned pet owners Monday of three additional pet food products recalled after contaminated products from one company, Menu Foods, were linked to the deaths of some 16 cats and dogs nationwide, authorities said.
