At right, attendees enjoy the festivities at last year's Mother's Day Tea presented by the Contemporary Women of North County, a local nonprofit women's volunteer organization.

This year's Mother's Day Tea will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 12 at the historical Wood House in San Marcos' Woodland Park. Mothers, daughters and friends are invited for an afternoon of fine teas, delicious treats, delightful company, entertainment and special opportunity items.

Tickets are $22 per person or $36 for two, with special discounts available for groups of six or more. Local businesses are invited to help with the fundraiser by contributing items or services for a silent auction or food for the luncheon.

Proceeds from the event will benefit community service efforts in North County.

To purchase tickets or make a contribution, call Laura McPhee at (760) 744-5534. The deadline to purchase tickets is May 8.
