Escondido Mayor Lori Holt Pfeiler presents a proclamation declaring May 1 'Silver Star Families of America Day' in Escondido to Faithful Navigator Bert Verger of the Fourth Degree Assembly (Fr. Jeremiah Murphy Assembly No. 2311) of the Knights of Columbus.
The Silver Star Families of America is a nonpartisan, nonprofit charitable organization committed to supporting wounded military personnel and veterans from past and present wars, and honoring their service with Silver Star banners.
