Man stabbed at Oceanside party
By: North County Times - OCEANSIDE -- A 21-year-old Oceanside man stabbed Friday night during a party in the city's Libby Lake neighborhood is expected to survive his injuries, police said. | ∞
The incident was reported just before midnight in the 200 block of Fortunada Street, when the victim was reportedly struck in the head with a beer bottle as he and the party's host tried to get people to leave, Sgt. Leonard Mata said.
The victim was then hit and kicked by a group of people, and when he got up he realized he had been stabbed, Mata said.
One of the suspects is described as a 5-foot 2-inch Latino male with a thin build, wearing a black baseball cap, black Dickies pants and a striped shirt. The suspect left in a Buick or Mercedes car, the sergeant said.
The victim went to Tri-City Medical Center for treatment of stab wounds to the upper torso and was transported to a local trauma center, Mata said.
The suspect had not been found by Monday afternoon.
