Contemporary Women of North County helps out at fundraiser

GFWC Contemporary Women of North County, a women's volunteer organization, recently participated in the 'Meet the Chefs of Del Mar' event at the Del Mar Hilton, helping to raise thousands of dollars for Casa de Amparo, a nonprofit agency caring for abandoned, abused and neglected children throughout San Diego County.
Guests sampled delicious food and wine, and participated in opportunity drawings and a silent auction, the proceeds from which will go directly to Casa de Amparo. CWONC members, as well as members of other volunteer organizations, helped with the silent auction and drawings and assisted the chefs.
CWONC also participates in the Crystal Ball fundraiser each year on behalf of Casa de Amparo and has established its own annual holiday party for the children at the Casa de Amparo residence.
