Contemporary Women of North County awards scholarships

GFWC Contemporary Women of North County, a local women's volunteer organization, presented $500 scholarships to graduating seniors Hien (Amanda) Nguyen from Orange Glen High School in Escondido and Nadia Ramirez from San Marcos High School at awards nights held recently at the students' schools.
Nguyen plans to attend Palomar College in the fall, with a long-term goal of becoming a certified public accountant. Ramirez also will attend Palomar in the fall, with a long-term goal of becoming a pediatrician.
