ESCONDIDO -- Linda Mary McGee, 65, died Friday, June 22, 2007, at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.
Born Jan. 1, 1942, in Portland, Ore., she lived in San Diego County for 40 years. She was a motel manager for 20 years.
Mrs. McGee is survived by her sons Ronald Burgess of Oceanside, Richard Porter of San Marcos and David McGee of Phoenix; daughters and son-in-law Lea Fugate of Escondido, Lynn McGee of Yuma, Ariz. and Laura and Darol Johnson of Elk City, Okla.; stepdaughter Sherrill McGhee of Ackerman, Miss.; brother John Brooks of San Marcos; sisters Marilyn Mahler of Boise, Idaho, and Diane Pierce of Boston; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation and viewing are scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon, today, June 28, at Allen Bros. Mortuary, San Marcos Chapel. A graveside service is scheduled to follow at 1 p.m. today, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Escondido. Interment will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 7297 Ronson Road, Suite H, San Diego, CA, 92111.
