ESCONDIDO ---- Delores Mae "Dee" Marks, 75, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at Palomar Medical Center.
Mrs. Marks was born July 4, 1931, in Glendale and lived in San Diego County for 42 years. She was the owner of a barbecue-beer garden for 24 years. She worked as a seamstress for Sea World, TG&Y and the San Diego Yacht Club. She loved gardening and bodyboarding. She was a member of the Zoological Society.
Mrs. Marks is survived by her husband of 43 years, Milton Marks of Escondido; son Leo Todd Higley of Las Vegas; daughters and sons-in-law Theresa Lynn and David Moore of Tooele, Utah, and Lynette and Michael Magnuson of Mora, Minn., and Adrian Duran of Stansbury Park, Utah; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
There will be a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 29, at McLeod Mortuary Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at McLeod Mortuary Chapel. Michael Magnuson will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date a Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
