WILDOMAR ---- Residents will have the chance to discuss road and traffic issues Monday with Juan Perez, the deputy director of the county transportation department.
Perez will be the featured speaker at the Wildomar Municipal Advisory Council's July meeting at Mission Trail Library, 34303 Mission Trail. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.
He also is scheduled to discuss the community's general plan ---- the land-use document governing zoning in Wildomar ---- and how it can be amended.
Representatives of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department and county code enforcement also will be on hand to address any issues and questions. In addition, Paula Willette, a recently appointed advisory council member, will be sworn in and take her seat on the five-member panel.

Another issue I have is the boats/RV's being parked in the streets in the neighborhoods. Also, the junky broken down cars with the expired registrations. I hope Code Enforcement reads this. Hey guys theres money to be made here for the county.

Several good things have come of this meeting, including several new stop signs to keep the speed down in the Farm residential areas, new street-name signage and "stop sign ahead" warnings on Bundy Canyon Road, and some much-needed repairs on Bundy Canyon Road. More is needed, of course, but actions prove that they indeed listened to what residents had to say and have acted on several items so far. (Moral: If your voice isn't heard, it's probably because you weren't there to speak up.) If you have concerns about roads in the County, it's a good idea to take advantage of these community meetings. They really DO listen. //Steve//
