WILDOMAR ---- A Wildomar Cub Scout pack is offering a reward for the arrest of a man authorities are looking for in the death of a 15-year-old boy last month.
Jessie James Possehl and his younger brother were riding their bicycles when a car came around a curve on River Road, south of Highway 74, and hit Jessie. The driver of the car then fled the scene and has yet to be found, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver has been identified by the CHP as Tyler Scott Trotter, 21, who lived on River Road, near where the Possehl family also lives. Officers are looking for Trotter to question him about what happened.
On Friday, Wildomar Cub Scout Pack 332 offered a $500 reward for information leading to Trotter's arrest.
Jessie Possehl's younger brother, Cody, was a member of the pack and just recently left to become a Boy Scout, a pack spokeswoman said.
Trotter is described as being white, with blond hair and blue eyes, about 6-foot-1, about 160 pounds, officers said. He has tattoos on both shoulders.
Authorities ask that anyone with information about Trotter is asked to call the CHP's Temecula office at (951) 506-2000.

what a wonderful story in light of a bad situation... wrote on Aug 5, 2007 8:54 AM:thank you so much for caring for a former member of your unit, the scouts always manage to pull through for their members & the family of members. My own son, in his youth, was a member of the scouts here locally, & it was always such a pleasure to participate in the fundraising of events that reached out to others in need, thank you all once again for all of your efforts to assist this family in finding the person responsible for the death of their son. Bless you all, long live the Cub Scouts of America, you are very special group of young Americans, keep up the great work you do.
