Edward Anthony Zawisza, 82

SAN DIEGO ---- Edward Zawisza, 82, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, in Escondido.

Born March 2, 1925, in Copenhagen, N.Y., he lived in San Diego for four years. He worked as a civil engineer for the Department of Defense and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe.

Mr. Zawisza is survived by his wife, Pauline Zawisza, of San Diego; daughter Marie Susan Swank, of Pacific Grove, and one granddaughter.

Private family services are planned. His will be buried at Golden Gate National Cemetery.
