The place to go for Notre Dame haters

The college football season got into full swing Saturday. For college football fans, that means about 12 weeks of nausea from listening to analysts and networks ---- OK, mostly NBC ---- spew incessantly about the greatness of Notre Dame.
It doesn't matter if the Fighting Irish finishes 12-0 or 0-12, Notre Dame apologists will try to convince you their school is more dominant than the Ming Dynasty.
At least there is no worry about 12-0 after the Irish lost their season opener to Georgia Tech on Saturday. Here's hoping the rest of the season follows suit.
But even if Notre Dame gets to a bowl game, at least you can enjoy the embarrassment of the result ---- the Irish have lost nine straight postseason appearances.
But my distaste for Notre Dame and its fans isn't in the same hemisphere as the folks who put together www.notredamesucks.org.
Cool stuff
< I'm not sure what a Fark is, but that portion of the site is classic.
< Check out the Domers section, which breaks down how to be a Notre Dame fan. It explains a lot about longtime NCT staffer Terry Monahan, who still denies the Gerry Faust era ever happened.
< The site offers some pretty interesting arguments against many of Notre Dame's Heisman Trophy winners in the "Heistman" section and calls out the school for bigotry and racism in the Racism section. They also break down which Notre Dame national titles are legitimate (they give the Irish credit for three) and which aren't (a whole bunch).
Check at the door
< The fight song parodies portion has potential, but they might want to eliminate the bigoted ones, particularly when the site calls out Notre Dame for the same thing.
< The Notre Dame Sucks store was a disappointment. There are just a couple of shirts and a hat available. Where are the venom-filled slogans on bumper stickers and coffee mugs?
The grade
Not only does the site offer some humorous views on why Notre Dame sucks, it also provides some pretty sound evidence of why the school is so overrated. Give it four out of five mouses.
