How much would you pay for a celeb's kid?

Brad and Angelina

For Sale: One pouty-mouthed, blue-eyed Namibian-born girl -- or at least her pictures.

If you haven't noticed, having a kid in Hollywood these days gets you more press than dancing on tables at the latest hot spot.

So when the latest celeb baby is born in Africa, far from the prying eyes of papparazi, what else does one do but sell pics of the kid to the highest bidder?

Brad and Angelina have reportedly sold pics of their newborn girl, Shiloh Nouvel, for a modest $4 million to People magazine. Of course, the generous couple will donate the dough to their charity of choice, but wouldn't that be interesting to see which celeb kid goes for the highest bid?

Britney better start working the press to see how much Kevin Federline, Jr. will get in a few months. Maybe like autotrader.com, agents can start Hollywoodbabytrader.com. It's a thought.

And by the way, whatever happened to Tom Cruise's bundle of jump-on-the-couch joy? His movie flops and we don't see the kid?

Mimi wrote on Jun 9, 2006 6:23 AM:This is too much! Where is the shame? Sell to the highest bidder? Pouty lips? Most sane people wouldn't pay to see the whole abnormal family put on display at Macy's. Infact I bet people are just "sick" of them right now. Vote if you are sick of it.

Kelita wrote on Jun 9, 2006 3:33 PM:Yeah! Where are the pictures of Suri? I have more respect for Brad and Angelina, but I am much more interested to see what Suri (the Tomcat baby) looks like. Although, there is probably some Scientology rule forbidding photographs of the kid til age 10 or something.

How great is that!!! wrote on Jun 9, 2006 7:40 PM:What a wonderful idea to raise funds for charity. People magazine and all those other stalking paparazzi's deserve to have to pay through their noses! They stalk and prey and invade every moment of celebrity lives. Brad and Angelina are brilliant. Obviously they did it for others and not themselves, not greed, but charity. I love this couple! They are great together, and are wonderful role models with values above the usual glitz and glamour of Hollywood. They put their money to great use, and show the world conditions we can't envision, saving children, one at a time. Bless them!

Gabriel wrote on Jun 17, 2006 12:27 AM:I love this couple, and for what they are doing for children around the world. Why not? I love the fact that they are "using" the media to make this a better world for kids. Just like Princess Diana did!

Adopting another wrote on Jun 19, 2006 9:51 PM:I just read that they are planning on adopting another child. I am all for adoption, having been adopted and having adopted as well, but they need to focus on the children they have before adding more. If they really want kids to find families maybe they could help hopeful adoptive families with financial assistance. Spend some good family years with the ones they have and then adopt more later on down the road. My parents waited till their youngest was 10.

John wrote on Jun 25, 2006 7:08 AM:Oh ya ,they diddnt breed, they bought one.

Kiki wrote on Jun 30, 2006 6:13 AM:I'm sick of Brad and Jolie and I'm sick of Tom Cruise.

Shannon V. wrote on Jul 2, 2006 10:56 PM:I have to say that I am very happy for the both of them, and I wish them both the best. I am glad that they have adopted children from countries that are less fortunate than ours.

Who cares wrote on Jul 15, 2006 7:51 PM:My kids are much prettier and won't spend my money on seeing celebrities children. More people need a life and spend their time on more important things in life. These people are actors and actresses no more special than me or you!

Mom3X wrote on Jul 18, 2006 8:29 AM:I applaud them for giving all the money to a charity. I bet if Tom and Kate, Katie, whatever they are calling her, get any money they will give it to his wacky church.

Maskedtyper wrote on Jul 21, 2006 8:00 PM:This is pretty pathetic of Brad and Angelina, they are treating their child as a source of income. Donating it to that charity doesn't justify what they did, using their child as a tool.

Hey Gabriel wrote on Jul 22, 2006 7:21 PM:Princess Di didn't whore out her kids to the media. They have enough money from their movies to donate twice as much as they get from selling pictures. Pathetic.

Jay wrote on Aug 10, 2006 1:22 AM:I guess we're suppose to think its okay because they are giving the proceeds to charity. Why don't they just give THEIR own money to charity? Pitt gets in excess of $20 million per film (and they aren't very good ones either). He can't afford to give $4 million away? He has to sell his kids photos? I guess I should feel bad for him. Selling your kids photos sounds desperate and a bit dirty. Whenever I've needed extra money in life (which was often)I worked more hours, got a second job or sold off some of my possesions. I can't imagine selling photos of my child. That's just plain creepy. I don't think I have given much cash to charity but then I have done alot of volunteer work which in my book is more valuable. Guess he doesn't have time for that what with his busy schedule of working three months per year.
