Food in Brief: Trupiano's takes second in the West Coast Pizza Championships

Trupiano's Italian Restaurant in Oceanside won second place in the Third Annual West Coast Pizza Championships, held in August at the 2007 Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo in Los Angeles. Trupiano's won second place in the gourmet category for its Chicken Enchilada Pizza, which has enchilada sauce, Monterey and cheddar cheese, chicken, corn, jalapenos, onions, cilantro, black olives, chives and avocado. FRESH FRESCHETTA: Freschetta Pizzamore Pizza and Stuffed Breadsticks are now available in the freezer case of your grocery store. Toppings for the presliced pizzas are Pepperoni Duo (spicy and mild); 6-Cheese; 10-Topping Supreme; Meat Medley (pepperoni, sausage, ham and bacon); and Simply Mozzarella.
