Book fair to benefit teens

ESCONDIDO ---- The GFWC Contemporary Women of North County, a local women's volunteer organization, will host a book fair from 3 to 9 p.m. Oct. 11 at Barnes & Noble bookstore, 810 W. Valley Parkway.

Gretchen Wendle, the local children's author of "Bekka and the Big Bubble ---- All Around Town," will be available at 7 p.m. to sign copies of her book.

Present a voucher or mention that a purchase is for the Contemporary Women of North County and the club will receive a percentage of the sale. Proceeds will be used to fund a cooking class for Casa de Amparo teens.
