Our crew was unable to go down Calle Canonero Drive or Lorita Lane, where most homes appeared to be OK. The same was true for Country Road and Juniper Ridge Lane.

Off Canonita Drive, between Wilt Road and Gird Road, our crew saw a mix of homes destroyed homes and some still standing.

Les wrote on Oct 24, 2007 3:37 PM:Homes directly accross the street were damanged and one destroyed one block over from 640 McLain Street in Escondido between Ash/Bear Valley Parkway and Rose Street, yet no other homes in the area were burned or damaged. Looks suspcisious and wasn't listed in the Escondido home report to my knowledge. Our home suffered smoke damage due to this event. Please advise if this mandatory evacutated area should have been listed or considered as an effected SD Fire area. Thank you.

warren wrote on Oct 24, 2007 5:17 PM:My Moms home at Live Oak Park Road and Hobbitt lane. The large Oak trees may obscure the view of the homes there are 3 on the property and a shed. I am afraid all that is left is a Airstream Trailer that probably looks like a crushed and burnt 26' beer can. The Property is the SouthEast corner any word? Google maps ate the property into the burn area last night. Anyone see it?

There were only two commercial buildings reported last time I checked. However, many church members, including a devout christian and avocado farmer are without homes. Please keep them in your prayers as they are really in need right now.
