VC wrote on Oct 25, 2007 6:34 AM:When is there going to be any information about VC and Rincon. Are the roads closed? Is it still evacuated. News info is sickening hearing about people going home and roads and business opening. Live is still on hold for many of us. We stopped for those on Monday. Show some respect. Seems we were ignored in 2003 as well.

Stunned wrote on Oct 25, 2007 7:19 AM:Dear VC, "News info is sickening hearing about people going home and roads and business opening" Are you kidding me? If it is making you sick to hear that people are being allowed to return home, you have problems. Would you prefer that everyone else "show respect" by staying away from their homes and jobs until you go back to yours? Unbelievable. Have you noticed that VC and Rincon are rather sparsely populated compared to Poway, Rancho Bernardo, San Marcos, and Escondido? There are obviously going to be more resources available to and information about those areas than there will be in the sticks. I don't understand how you can say you are being ignored. Rincon and VC currently have a disproportionate amount of firefighters and equipment at its disposal and working on its behalf than practically any other demographic area of its size and population density in the country. "Ignored" means that NOBODY is doing ANYTHING at all. Everyone is wondering what is going on at their home. Not just you. Stop whining.
Kristen wrote on Oct 25, 2007 8:04 AM:Why no reports of homes on East side of I-15/old 395? The fire started over on that sode, and there is damage. Homeowners would like info for that side of Fallbrook too!!!!!

Baffled wrote on Oct 25, 2007 8:47 AM:TO VC.....your comments about people getting back to their lives are very selfish. School is out for most of San Diego County until next week. Our family is helping to bake cookies today for fire fighters who are working 24/7 to try and save your homes in VC and all over SD county. Countless people from all over SD are helping everywhere you turn. It's beyond me how people get so narrow minded to think that no one is doing anything for them. Open your eyes. Through the smoke is a community who cares not only about themselves, but about you too! Be grateful, not abusive.
