Developers and investors will line their pockets with cash so they don't have to rob banks (at least for awhile maybe?). Our kids went to Pine School years ago and the city gives the barrio a park when they tore down Pine School. No one feel safe venturing there, definitely not after dusk. The baggy pant dudes hang on corners, smoke, and who knows what else. Where are parents? Are they role models for their kids when they refuse to learn English? They want everything free. They steal in the stores, raise our prices and taxes. Yes, some are honest, but only a pitiful percentage. Don't know the solution, but many more innocents will become victims. Yes, the scum bags are getting out of prison, but why aren't they deported too? Oh, yeah, they just tunnel back in. They are recruiting at the elementary school level, esp seeking latch key kids.

Oceanside has 30% HISPANIC and since mid 2006 Oceanside has less crime per 1000 people of population than Carlsbad.

You folks don't have a "barrio" or a "mexican" problem, you have a DIVIDED COMMUNITY PROBLEM.

I suggest you all and your neighbers GET IT TOGETHER FAST before it becomes a big problem like what happened in the burbs of LA where all the black live in one hood, all the mexicans in another hood, all the whites in another hood, etc . . THAT is the kind of conditions that spawn crime and even RIOTS. You guys better get better integrated AND FAST.
