FALLBROOK -- The Fallbrook Veterans of Foreign Wars post, 1175 Old Stage Road, serves meals several days a week.
Breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. today. Cost is $6. Hamburgers and hot dogs are served from 5 to 6:30 Mondays. Cost is $4. Wednesday is pasta night, with servings from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $5. Specials are served from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Fridays, and the Dec. 21 special will be homemade chicken pot pies. Cost is $8. 'Joyful Traditions' event planned
FALLBROOK -- The Historic Downtown Merchants Association will present "Joyful Traditions" from noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 23 in downtown Fallbrook. There will be horse-drawn rides on Main Street sponsored by the association. Pick up free tickets at any association member store. Information: (760) 728-0070.
Senior center plans Las Vegas, Grand Canyon trip
FALLBROOK -- The Fallbrook Senior Center is taking reservations for a five-day, four-night trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon from May 5 through 9. Cost is $379 per person, triple occupancy, two double beds; $399 per person, double occupancy; and $579 for single. Trip Protection Plan insurance is available.
The trip includes motorcoach transportation, four nights lodging including two consecutive nights in a Las Vegas Casino Hotel, two breakfasts, two dinners, gaming and sight-seeing on the Las Vegas Strip, a free day to shop, explore and discover Las Vegas, a visit to Laughlin, Nev., and view of the Colorado River, two nights at a Flagstaff, Ariz., hotel and a visit to Grand Canyon National Park, including an IMAX Grand Canyon movie.

There are no cancellations after Feb. 28. Thirty-five people are needed for the trip, and everyone is welcome. It is not necessary to be a member of the senior center.
