People on the Move: Gordon appointed director at Imagine Communications

Encinitas-based Imagine Communications, a developer of high-capacity video systems, announced the appointment of Chris Gordon to director of Product Management.

Gordon's responsibilities include product development, feature set and road-map management. He has more than 10 years experience designing, managing and marketing new technology.

Chenoweth joins Hokanson Associates

Hokanson Associates, a wealth management firm based in Solana Beach, announced that William H. Chenoweth has joined the firm's Investment Team as a portfolio manager.

Chenoweth is a chartered financial analyst with more than 20 years of experience in the investment management industry. Prior to joining Hokanson Associates, he was a partner and portfolio manager at Nicholas Applegate in San Diego.

Basirico named chief credit officer of Temecula Valley Bank

Temecula Valley Bancorp Inc. announced that Frank Basirico Jr. has been appointed chief credit officer of Temecula Valley Bank, the company's principal subsidiary.

Basirico has been with Temecula Valley Bank for two years in the position of chief administrative officer.

Temecula Valley Bank was established in 1996 and operates full service offices in Temecula, Murrieta, Corona, Fallbrook, Escondido, Rancho Bernardo, El Cajon, Carlsbad, San Marcos, Solana Beach and Ontario. The bank also operates a number of regional real estate loan production centers in California.

SD North Chamber of Commerce names new CEO

The San Diego North Chamber of Commerce announced that it has hired Michael Robinson as its new president and chief executive officer. His appointment was unanimously approved by the chamber's board of directors.

Robinson most recently served as president and CEO of the Vail Valley Partnership, the chamber and tourism bureau in Vail, Colo. Before that, he served as the director of communications for the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau for nearly 10 years.

Robinson was hired after a nationwide search and replaces Gary Powers, who resigned from the position in September.

The San Diego North Chamber of Commerce represents 1,000 member businesses in the communities of 4S Ranch, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Miramar, Mira Mesa, North Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos, Scripps Ranch, Sabre Springs, Sorrento Mesa and Torrey Highlands.

Willis Allen adds new Realtors

Willis Allen Real Estate recently welcomed Realtors Michael Citrin and Shannon Courtemanche and the real estate team of Peter Van Rossum and Reina Ortner.

Citrin has joined Willis Allen's Rancho Santa Fe office. He has 23 years of real estate experience and has successfully completed more than 1,000 real estate transactions during his career.

Courtemanche joined Willis Allen as a member of its Santa Luz branch office. She has used her extensive sales experience and market knowledge to post more than $12M in real estate sales and $700K worth of leases in less than a year.

Van Rossum and Ortner joined the company's La Jolla branch. Van Rossum is an award-winning Realtor who was in the top 3 percent of Realtors nationwide at his previous firm. Ortner, who has more than 10 years of home construction and development experience, manages behind-the-scenes work for the team.

Mellace Family Brands appoints new director

Carlsbad-based snack food innovator Mellace Family Brands announced that it has appointed Neil Bellefeuille as director of social responsibility. In this new role, Bellefeuille will optimize, manage and expand the outreach programs built and funded by Mellace Family Brands and the Mama Cares Foundation, a nonprofit organization set up by the company's founders.

Bellefeuille most recently served as president and senior brand strategist at Bulldog Drummond, a successful brand consultancy.

Fitness studio hires new personal trainer

Fitness Together, a private one-on-one personal training studio in Rancho Bernardo and Escondido, recently added Charlie Watson to its team of certified personal trainers.

Watson earned a bachelor's of science degree in physical education from Biola University in Los Angeles and has completed his Fitness Together certification. He is also working on becoming certified by the American College of Sports Medicine.

Local resident named director at Star Trac

Star Trac, a fast-growing commercial fitness company based in Irvine, has appointed North County resident Keith White as director of global branding.

White brings more than 15 years of experience to Star Trac, including a strong background in branding. As chief executive officer of ParkerWhite Inc., White developed the company into a premier branding agency in Southern California.
