SAN DIEGO -- U.C. San Diego announced Wednesday it will offer a degree program that allows students to get a doctorate in oceanography and a master's of business administration at the same time.
The program -- touted by UCSD as the first of its kind in the nation -- allows students to pursue a doctorate at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography concurrently with a master's degree at the Rady School of Management.
According to UCSD, the program was developed for students interested in careers where the combination of scientific expertise and management knowledge is important.
