SAN DIEGO -- Two people are dead and a third is seriously wounded after a car-to-car shooting on a San Diego highway.
The cars were traveling eastbound on Highway 54 late Sunday when a gunman in one of the vehicles opened fire, causing the driver to lose control and crash.
Sheriff's Lt. Dennis Brugos says two people in the demolished car are dead and a third is hospitalized with a bullet wound. It wasn't immediately known if the victims died as a result of the crash or bullet wounds.
There are no arrests.
