Rossi named water task force chair

RIVERSIDE ---- The general manager of the Western Municipal Water District has been appointed chairman of the Riverside County Water Task Force.
John V. Rossi will head the task force, whose mission is to ensure reliable, sustainable and quality water within Riverside County.
"John Rossi is the perfect choice," Riverside County 5th District Supervisor Marion Ashley stated in a written release. "He has vast experience in Inland Empire water issues, previous work experience in the water field and a background on the business side as a CPA."
The task force is being reconvened after a brief hiatus to address several key water issues affecting both the region and the state, the release stated.
As general manager of the 527-square mile Western Municipal Water District, Rossi's duties include planning, direction and management of water, wastewater and non-potable water operations.
