Wave waterpark to open Memorial Day weekend

VISTA ---- The city plans to kick off The Wave Waterpark's 14th summer season over the Memorial Day weekend, officials said.
The waterpark features five slides: the Rip Tide, Salsa Twist, Tubulation, Slam Dunk and Flash Flood.
In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to use inner tubes to float down the Rio Loco lazy river, or test their skills by trying to surf or ride the Flow Rider, which simulates a perfect wave.
The Wave will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 24 through May 26.
General admission for people 42 inches tall and taller costs $15. Admission costs $11 for children smaller than 42 inches tall. Children 3 years old and younger get in for free.
After the opening weekend, abbreviated summer hours will begin from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 6 through 20.
The regular summer season is scheduled to run from 10:30 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. June 21 through Sept. 1.
