Keyways adds steady hand

WINE COUNTRY ---- Keyways Vineyard & Winery has made Michael Tingley, a three-decade veteran of Temecula Valley wines, its chief, full-time winemaker. Tingley had been serving as a part-time consultant to the winery.

Winery owner Terri Pebley credits Tingley for five medals recently awarded to the winery at the New World International Wine Competition in Ontario.

Tingley has taught enology classes at Cal State Fullerton and San Diego State.

Rabobank's new guy

Keith R. Goff has been named president of Rabobank N.A.'s Inland Empire Region. Goff will oversee operations that include nine retail branches and two commercial banking centers.

The company is scheduled to open a full-service branch at 40723 Murrieta Hot Springs Road in Murrieta this summer.

"(Goff) is an experienced leader who knows and understands the region well," said James W. Lokey, Rabobank N.A.'s president of community banking, in a statement. "He will play a key role as we expand Rabobank's presence into Murrieta ..."

Tax group expands

Karen White, of Hemet, has joined the Murrieta office of Swenson Advisors LLP as a tax associate.

White, a 2004 graduate of Kent State University, previously worked as an accountant for Maryanov, Madsen, Gordon and Campbell in Palm Desert, where she managed audits, compiled financial statements and prepared tax returns. She also completed a course in Arabic while serving with the Army.

The addition of White brings to nine the number of professionals in the Murrieta tax group, according to Keith Krzewski, partner and chief operating officer for Swenson.

Info sharing

The information Blanchard learned includes how to eliminate taxes on IRA and retirement plan incomes, how to receive the three biggest tax breaks, how to avoid 20 percent withholding on a rollover, why current 403B plans are being phased out, and why 401K owners need to roll over into IRAs.

Blanchard can be reached at (951) 837-4770.
