OCEANSIDE: Credit union forecloses on Ambassador Family Church
Ambassador Family Church official says congregation will move forward
By CRAIG TENBROECK - Staff Writer | ∞
(Craig TenBroeck/Staff photographer) The Ambassador Family Church property on South El Camino Real has been foreclosed by the credit union that holds the loan. OCEANSIDE ---- Homeowners aren't the only ones dealing with foreclosures these days.
In mid-April, the Brea-based Evangelical Christian Credit Union took back the Ambassador Family Church property on South El Camino Real.
That land, as well as the hillside church campus, will be listed for sale within "the next week or two," said Jac La Tour, communications manager for financial organization.
"We can't control who buys the property, but our desire would certainly be another church or school," La Tour said Monday.
It's not yet clear what will happen to the Ambassador Family Church congregation.
In response to questions Monday, the church's media director, Joseph Bradfield, issued a two-page press release saying that the church's financial problems stemmed in part from rising construction costs and a plunge in attendance that began when the pastor's marriage failed.
He referred further questions about the congregation's finances to church leaders who he said were unavailable until next week.
The news release says the congregation at one time numbered roughly 800, but had dipped to as low as 200 before recently rebounding to about 300 members.
As for the foreclosure: "Relocation may be what we have to do, but we're moving forward from here because we believe we serve a God of second chances and impossible rebounds," the release states.
La Tour said the credit union has been talking with church leaders about month-to-month rental options so churchgoers can remain on site until the property sells.
"We're going to work really hard with the ministry to navigate what are obviously really difficult waters in the best way possible," La Tour said.
Ambassador Family Church purchased the property at the southeast corner of Oceanside Boulevard and El Camino Real in 2000, said Jeff Olson, the county's division chief for assessment services.
It then built the church, a circular structure with massive glass windows and a capacity of more than 1,000.
The property fell into default in December, and on April 17, the credit union took the property back, Olson said.
In Jan. 2007, the assessed value of the property and building was $5.6 million.
La Tour declined to comment further on Ambassador's financial situation. The church is a nondenominational, evangelical church.
"The circumstances on the church's side that precipitated being in this position are just that: their circumstances and their story to tell," La Tour said.
Bradfield's press release states that "the cost of the (church) building rose far above original estimates. Conflicts with building contractors, unexpected city requirements, rising interest rates, time delays and law suits with noncompliant contractors all took its toll."
Stress created by those complications led to the failed marriage of Pastor Barry Cook, the release states, and that gave rise to further rumors and discontent.
Cook remains at the church but has invited outside seasoned ministers to come in and help the congregation move forward, according to the news release. Oversight of the church has been handed to another leader, Ron Satrape.
Neither Satrape nor Cook could be reached for comment Monday. At the church property, there was no indication of the ministry's financial troubles.
"We're going to continue with the mission we feel God has given us," Bradfield said.
La Tour, with the credit union, said it was "an extreme rarity" for his company to foreclose on a church.
"It didn't pan out the way everybody would have hoped," he said.

John wrote on Apr 29, 2008 7:11 AM:Now THIS is FUNNY! AMEN! A church getting foreclosed on! LOL! Now the county can get some tax-revenue out of whatever non-religious source that buys the building, and can actually PAY what it's fair share of property tax!
Randy wrote on Apr 29, 2008 7:14 AM:No one wants to lend money to a church because no one wants the bad publicity later when they foreclose on a church.
To Ironic wrote on Apr 29, 2008 7:50 AM:I will forgive you for your comments. Jesus died for your sins too. One day I hope you find the Lord, until them I will pray for you. God bless you.
Have faith wrote on Apr 29, 2008 7:56 AM:Umm and ironic, the strength of a church is not measured by its pastor and every pastor knows that. The strength lies in the unity of the congregation's faith and the commitment and involvement of every member.
Unfortunately, members of Ambassador felt compelled to leave their church at a difficult time for their own pastor. They need to remember that the pastor is not God and that he is also a man. As such, we are all imperfect. You cannot question whether he had the commitment to make his marriage work and that his wife might have simply given up.
Regardless, I'm sure they prayed and as all Christians know, God answers in his own time and within His purpose for us.
With that, I'm sure there will be many other Christians who read this and will pray for both Umm and ironic that one day you might find Christ and declare Him your savior.
And, no, I'm not a pastor; and yes, I do attend a mega church in O'side and am proud of it.
To Have Faith and others. wrote on Apr 29, 2008 8:27 AM:If you did not attend AFC than you do not know the truth!!! It is sad that Barry Cook will allow God to become a mockery in this situation. Barry Cook as well us those of us who left the church, and those who still attended know the truth! I would hope that Barry Cook would tell the truth about the reason our church crumbled. Believe me we prayed hard enough but God will never restore an unrepentant person.

I pray that you ask for forgiveness for your sins and begin to serve the Lord.

Faith Minded wrote on Apr 29, 2008 9:17 AM:I think we hear what we want to believe because it makes our decision making easier. I feel bad for a man who some think is unjust and lacks repetence, but the only proof is hearsay. Where are the pictures of such events? Where is documentation?
And because of those judgements, the pastor has to PROVE himself because he is guilty before proven innocent. I thought we lived in a world where were innocent until proven guilty. People have already condemned him and they are Christian.
Foreclosure, building, no building, it doesn't matter, people will be saved and many will be added to the Kingdom. The God I know redeems, restores and renews. Based on evidence, I believe, this pastor is innocent and the enemy has tried to shut him down.
Hey Fair Minded wrote on Apr 29, 2008 9:44 AM:Where have you been? Don't you know that in society today one is guilty and must prove their innocence! It used to be the other way around but it is not like that any more. You are staunchly defending this man and I admire you for that. I don't know what the allegations are but you ask if "there are pictures of such events". I find their is always some truth to hearsay. I wish the North County Times would get to the bottom of this. I think it must be a very juicy story.
The bickering righteous wrote on Apr 29, 2008 10:06 AM:So you god fearing people can't decide if it was the pastor who is wrong or the congregation that left. Why don't you point fingers at each other that should help? You guys act so righteous to the non believers because you know you are saved and they are not.
This is why I left the church when I was young because it’s always the people who act the most righteous that are sinning the most.
What about the children in Darfur. They don’t have the ability to pray and make the situation better. They need your help to survive but you would rather sit outside an abortion clinic or protest gay marriage.
Its comments like: One day I hope you find the Lord, until them I will pray for you. God bless you. You sound a bit righteous here but you are most likely as big a sinner as Ironic or Umm but since you asked for forgiveness you are going to heaven.
I’ll speak to you in words you should understand. Judge NOT, that you be not judged.
Faith Minded wrote on Apr 29, 2008 10:21 AM:You're right, there is truth to hearsay. The truth of one's own perception. Just because it is said doesn't mean it actually happened though. We are inundated with media about hearsay and Hollywood stars based on a writer's pereption of truth. Reality is, God knows everything. We must be joking to think that we do and we should condemn based on our own understanding. You are right about our society, I think it's sad that all the work that our ancestors did to provide an America full of freedom and innocent until proven guilty has now led up to these types of situations. God have mercy on us all.

The entire church of the living God is under attack not just Pastor Barry.
O. T. wrote on Apr 29, 2008 10:36 AM:It is interesting that people believe that a building represents someones success or failure. We have all experienced situations or read stories in the Bible and history where something at first seemed like a failure on the surface and then turned out to be the very thing God used to turn things around.
We know that the church of the living God is made of the assembly of believers joined together in unity.
Although, AFC, is going through a situation with their building here are the facts of how the Spirit of God have been moving in the church:
1. Weekly on Sunday services people are coming up to the altars and repenting of sins and getting saved.
2. People are getting filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
3. People are getting healed in their bodies.
4. People are being delivered of demonic oppression and strongholds.
5. There is a fresh and renewed commitment and loyalty from the members towards the things of God and service in the house of God.
6. Teams of leaders in the church have taken responsibility and have been experiencing renewal, revival and releasing strong dynamic preaching.
7. Every Saturday, AFC members have been going into 3 neighborhoods (Super Sabado) in Oceanside and ministering to the children there for over 5 years. Kids are learning how to respect authority, be obedient to their parents etc. In addition, they are being saved, healed and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is alive and well at AFC! He deserves all the credit! We are excited about what God is doing and we are keeping our eyes on Christ!
And, if you would like to see some clips of the power of God in demonstation go to youtube and you will see posting from the service and Super Sabado.

Yes, we all fall down, but .. for someone that says they have a doctorate in many things related, among them, "church growth" and preached financial recovery seminars, leadership, marriage and family counseling.. people saw right through all the amplifiers, microphones and loud speakers that were formulated to flow money in and the "do as I say, not as I do" attitude, and they bolted for greener pastures. What does Joseph Bradfield know about this situation? When did he join the church?Once again I feel we are being lied too. It sounds like a cover up to protect Barry Cook. Where are all the church members now? Why the plunge in attendance. People in the church get divorced every day and church doors do not close. What are we not being told? The truth should be known.

Mr La Tour and fellows just are not equipped to see the real light! 1000 people could not support those mortgage payments. What you fail to understand is that we do not come to church for Barry, or for any other leader at AFC. We come to church to serve God and advance His kingdom. Its not about a church or a man, its about hearing Gods voice and being obedient. So until God tells my family otherwise, AFC is where we will be.
So lets say all the rumors are true, who can say that he has not repented to God and the parties involved. None of us has any right to judge this situation that only God can judge. All I know is, as long as there are people at AFC hungry for Gods presence and His will, God will always supply. So whether at the building or back in a wharehouse, Gods work will still be done through the ministry of AFC.

The congregation, bless every one of them, was probably sincere in their beliefs, but how easy it is to lead true believers astray. Didn't anybody read "Elmer Gantry," a book that was published more than half a century ago? Mega-church, schmega-church. Might as well believe in the tooth fairy.
To year AFC Veterian wrote on Apr 29, 2008 2:28 PM:Are you trying to say One Year AFC Veteran? So does that mean you have been at AFC for 1 year? "So lets say all the rumors are true,(they are) who can say that he has not repented to God and the parties involved.(he has not repented. I guess we can ask Vince Limon if he has repented to him. None of us has any right to judge this situation that only God can judge. You are right we have no right to judge and you have no right to judge me because I left Ambassador because I was disgusted.
Nobodys judging you wrote on Apr 29, 2008 3:40 PM:Why would you think that the AFC veteran was judging you? I don't see anywhere in this person's statements where anybody in particular was judged. Taking it a little personally, aren't we?
But quoting and saying that that the rumors are true, you've judged. Romans is a good book on judgement. Not only talking about not judging others but the repercussions if we do. Again, we will make account for our own actions but Romans also talks about causing another to stumble because you have judged another. The best thing anybody can do is cast all our care upon Him and seek Him and His Kingdom first.
And I happen to know the person who posted the Year Veteran post and she has been at AFC longer than you ever were. Something obviously went wrong with the post. Even in the hardest times of her life, she was faithful to God, even when she didn't know it. So, it seems you are trying to judge somebody when you don't even know them, and the bible tells us to know those who labor among us. If you've judged her so quickly, how long did you judge those at AFC before you decided to leave? No disrespect intended but if you've left, then leave it be and move on with you're life, which I'm sure you're proud of since you seem to have got so much better since leaving AFC.
Finally, if I've caused anybody to get upset, hurt, or anything of the such in this, please accept my sincerest apologies and I repent to you before-hand, since I know that some will read and get upset, or hurt, or mad, or maybe, just maybe, happy. But, to be perfectly honest, Jesus himself probably cause more people to feel these feelings than we can possibly imagine.
But, please, I plead with all those involved, pray, seek God, lean on Him, and whatever He tells you, obey! Many of us at AFC are doing our very best to do so and obviously, in a time like this, it can be difficult, with faith can overcome all these situations.

1 Corinthians 3:10-15
God was kind and let me become an expert builder. I laid a foundation on which others have built. But we must each be careful how we build, because Christ is the only foundation. Whatever we build on that foundation will be tested by fire on the day of judgment. Then everyone will find out if we have used gold, silver, and precious stones, or wood, hay, and straw. We will be rewarded if our building is left standing. But if it is destroyed by the fire, we will lose everything. Yet we ourselves will be saved, like someone escaping from flames.

Also, if you seem to think "Unfortunately Barry has always caused a seperation with other churches in this community." However, did he not open his own pulpit and invite other pastors in the area to preach, even when other churches would not. Didn't he push to have the churches unite and have united services before, even had Mayor Dick Lyon speak at one of these services. Again, inaccuracies that by the actions of AFC themselves have proven they are moving to unite the body of Christ, not divide it with rumors, slander and gossip like what they have come under. Yeah, yeah, so what if it's all true, where is the forgiveness that Jesus instructed us all to walk in? If you don't agree, then simply move on and leave AFC in God's hands!

ENUF already - believe the truth, run from the lies. EASY to say, tough to do, but worth doing! Leave the liar to the lies. Be FREE in Christ, people. It's wonderful!
God chose the foolish things to shame the wise wrote on Apr 29, 2008 10:23 PM:The foreclosure of the building isn't a result of the leadership or judgement from God. All AFC members had a mandate from God for this Church. We all prayed for this building and made a commitment to finance it. Even though our names were not on the mortgage, some chose to walk out on their commitment and investment in the kingdom of God. I have went through a situation in my own life, where it looked like God destroyed my entire family and people from the outside couldn't see the marvelous work God was doing through my family. When it was all over God restored, the people were in awe, and God got the glory.

After being out of there and having time to recoup, I am so happy there is only one God and His name is not BC. He tried to make everyone feel as if he was God, and we all knew better but continued to be 'ok' with it all (put up and shut up) - the anger, fear, all of the mind games to shut us up and feel as tho we were always wrong and had some sort of devil if we disagreed with the 'apostle'!
I follow God and God alone, and will never again be under the tyrannical leadership of an egotistical man who is only trying to prove a point to his father that he won't fail.
To all of those I personally hurt, I truly apologize and as for your forgiveness. My life is completely different now and will never be what it was at AFC. My kids are still struggling with the 'why's" and more importantly have not yet to this day been able to trust. We are all held accountable to God for what we have done to others and one day it will come full circle...
There is so much to say about the ridiculous teachings, thought processes, FEAR that was continually instilled and not to mention the other little secrets kept by those who just haven't spoken up about their experiences (and some shouldn't).
Too bad we all once knew each other but will now be forever separated because of the lies of a man who thought he was some kind of 'modern day apostle'. Pity, but we all witnessed the birth of a cult.
As others have said, RUN and get out of there if you are still at AFC. Not everyone would have left like we all did had we been 'believing a devil'. This time, it's TRUTH we are believing. Get out now and hold your head up high. Don't worry about admitting what you have been involved in. Time and God will heal all of that. Suck up the pride and RUN from the wicked ways. Stop believing the lie. You are worth more than that!

it seems that u are implying all those @ AFC do u think all those attending are now saying lies what if God is telling them to stay what if they feel led to stay despite all the drama what if they're still being fed, growing, bringing others to salvation, impacting the Kingdom of Heaven, and most of all, the presence of God is with them since ur no longer attending, u wouldn't know if these things were taking place would u but, I wouldn't put it past u to have spies in "your" enemies camps.

Where was the discerning spirit & wisdom these believers profess to possess? Why did it fail them? Your self righteous words are meaningless & ineffective to doubters & non-believers because your criticism should directed at your own group. It should be expected that non-believers are enjoying this but you add fuel to the fire when you claim to be praying for them when it is obvious that your missing something yourselves.
You should be praying for yourselves & asking your God to staighten you out & lead you in the right path if that is even possible at this point in your lifes. Under the circumstance why should any non-believer trust your prayers for them when you can't deal with the failure you are now manifesting to the community? What you really need is self examination, introspection & hope you grow & mature enough to read the warning signs in the future. Shame on you!
What Say You wrote on Apr 30, 2008 12:22 AM:Wow, this has been very educational, with striking similarities to the FLDS scandal in TX.
In both cases we never see the 'real leadership', step up and take responsibility for their roles in this mess. All you hear are excuses.
I passed by the church today and noticed the vehicles of BC, RW & CS in the parking lot.
Strange because in the press release from AFC, Joe states that for more information on the church finances, the 'leaders' would not be available until next week.
Sounds like a stall tactic to me. In TX the FLDS men are hiding behind and underneath the skirts of their wives and underage rape victims.
In Oceanside, Barry & the hypnotist crew of his now boldly 'man-up' and hide behind a press release from the youngest member of the staff.
Does anyone really believe that Joe wrote that bogus press release on his own?
Does anyone really believe that the Executive Minister (RW) would allow anyone else but himself to speak to the media about AFC?
Joe... looks like you're being set up to take the fall, watch your back.
To current members, have faith, there are options without drama, in no set order: North Coast Church, Faith Temple, New Venture, New Vision, etc.
There are true Christians in North County who are praying for the innocent members of AFCs' spiritual & emotional well-being as this business enterprise is being dismantled right before our very eyes. A Sad Situation.
Truth wrote on Apr 30, 2008 6:22 AM:BC did cause seperation with other churches. Remember the so called "Unity Nights" when we were all sent out to other chuches to "visit?" One night we all bet back at my house with the people who were put in charge of the "effort." We were asked to give comments on all of the negative stuff we saw. We refused and only spoke positively about the church we visited in Oceanside. I also told one of the Associate Pastors at AFC that I had sent a thank you note to the pastor of the church we visited. I was asked why I would do that since the pastor was a "Queen Bee" and that she had hurt a lot of people. Unity yeah right. The thief was coming through the window to steal, kill and destroy. We never went out with that crew again.
Keep coming with all the lies. There are many who can testify to the truth.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CHURCH REBOUNDING
DESPITE PENDING FORECLOSURE
1. Ambassador Family Church located at 1602 S. El Camino Real has recently begun to rebound after experiencing several years of decline resulting from the challenges of building their new facility.
2. Pastor and Mrs. Barry Cook along with a group of Bible School students founded the church in 1995 which grew to 800 members. As one of the fastest growing churches in Southern California, they rented and leased space prior to building their new building which was projected to be completed within 18 months.
3. Through a series of unexpected events, the cost of the building rose far above their original estimates. Conflicts with building contractors, unexpected city requirements, rising interest rates, time delays and law suits with noncompliant contractors all took its toll.
4. The impact of it all created a continual environment of stress as well as the pressures of ministry which further taxed the Pastor and eventually ended with the failure of their marriage.
5. When the marriage failed it gave room to speculations of infidelity and rumors which began to circulate, further impacting not only Pastor Cook but many of the leaders who had grown weary of the long and drawn out battle. The loss of their leaders added to the loss of confidence in many of the church members and a decline began until the church was down to about 200 members.
6. After consulting with several of his mentors Pastor Barry invited several outside seasoned ministers to come in and help them to somehow recover. After losing his marriage and many of the members and leaders in the church, its founding Pastor wanted to resign but knew that it could result in the church not being able to recover. Suffering depression and continuing on has been the challenge of his life according to Cook.
7. When it looked as though a rebound wasn’t possible Barry Cook invited another minister who specializes in helping hurting churches to come and take oversight in an effort to recover. The results were immediate. Attendance along with income has stopped declining and has actually started to increase from 200 to 300 members.
8. AFC has since been notified of impending foreclosure. After talking with their leaders it was unanimously agreed that they would continue their ministry regardless of their foreclosure. Relocation may be what we have to do but we’re moving forward from here because we believe that we serve a God of second chances and impossible rebounds.
9. Pastor Cook is also taking the time to recover and receiving counseling and encouragement. The ministry is under the oversight and care of another Apostolic leader who is training a new AFC team and core group of leaders to move forward towards their original spiritual mandate.
10. “A rebound has begun and hopes are being renewed” says Ron Satrape the apostolic leader overseeing the ministry restoration of both the church and it’s Pastor. Revival has sparked a lot new growth and the long drawn out decline has finally been reversed. Ministry is moving more through the members of the church who are excited about their opportunity to make an eternal difference in the lives of people in their community.

Amazingly overnight ABC is changed to Ambassador Leadership Institue by Ronald, once again claiming to be started by Barry, claiming to be accredited. It was nothing but a profit center. This info. is currently on the AFC website, listed under history.
How or why would a church Pastor try to pad his resume with a bona-fide lie. Why would his followers who know this is false still support this type of behavior?
Makes me wonder about Destiny publishing company who created Barrys last book. How much research did they put into his 'credentials'.
The same could be said about these mentor and oversight pastors being brought in to manage the church from the East coast. i wonder if they know this resume of Barrys is padded with fluff? Why is this important, you ask?
Bottom line folks if your pastor will lie, okay maybe that is too harsh. If your pastor would allow an untruth about something as small as a bible college or leader institute that does not exist, to be placed in his bag of accomplishments, he would lie about anything.
When it comes to leading Gods people there is no room for untruths, non, nada, zip. It is either true or untrue.... no middle ground. Barry should either be, all in or all out.
This shadow leadership thing that is being described as a 'healing time' for him is just a scam for sympathy.
What true Pastor would allow his members to be out here fighting for his image and reputation while he sits back, slipping in the back door of the church everyday except Wed. and Sunday still pulling the strings? Weak!!!
I do believe there will be a church at 1602 El Camino Real, just not this one. It's time to turn out the lights, the party is over.

From personal experience, I can say that Christians are the worst at judgement. I guess unless you have been through it, its easier to point the finger. The Bible says they would know Christians by their love. It's really hard to see that in people now.
We all receive the same grace in the measure we give.

If he is tired of the rumors and speculation than he should squelch it once and or all!! I agree with the post above why does he have his members doing all the talking and defending? I know that if gossip, rumors or lies were being spread about me I would want to make it right and get the truth out there. I have only been a Christian for about 8 months but I do know one scripture that could help Barry Cook, the truth shall set you free. I think that is all the former members want is for him to tell the truth and face his actions. I do serve at my church as an usher, and I pay my tithe I would hope that if speculation arose or gossip began about my Pastor that he would set the record straight immediately. Pastor Barry Cook just needs to tell the truth.

I have learned that Love conquers all things, even when I feel like loving someone isn't worth my time because of what they have done to me or the things I have heard or even seen, I do it anyway, why? Because Christ told me to, He never gave conditions. He said above all else to love one another, we could change the way people look at our finger pointing if we just let God be God and followed the instructions He gave us. Everyone has an opinion, everyone has a judgement. I've been the root of judgements, it hurts, it condemns, it causes emotional wreckage. And I did nothing wrong. Love is unconditional. My position from my testimony on this will never change.

So I know, all the different accusations written about are true. God is a God of second chance, but it does take repentance first. Barry needs to be sat and receive some therapy before he can continue to minister. I pray that another church takes that building, since it is a perfect location for the community of Oceanside. I was one of the "brainwashed" members, but I am free and very happy now! Enjoying my life more than ever! I have chosen to move forward and I pray that those still at AFC open up their eyes and get out of there! For those of you that don't think that Evangelism, Revival, & Reformation is not taken place in this community -you need to visit other churches -New Venture, New Vision, North Coast, Calvary Chapel, etc -to name of a few, these are all churches preaching Christ and winning souls for the kingdom of God. That is real fruit! They may not be perfect, but they are producing fruit and not all the drama AFC has been. Forget about all that mess about "mediocre" "user friendly" -these are religious terms that people have created to keep you bound. The religous folk are those preaching against the "religious spirits" -Come on people, search your hearts before you preach against all these principalities -these spirits live inside of you! But with that being said, let's all remember that Job received healing (and reclaimed all his wealth) after he began to pray for the very people who had cursed him. Talk about Barry Cook if you still need to, some say it's therapeutic. But in the next breath, lift him up before our Lord, that he'd be able to walk out all that God had laid out for him.

"From personal experience, I can say that Christians are the worst at judgement." You got that right and all you have to do is take a look in the mirror. "The Bible says they would know Christians by their love." The bible says alot more than that!!!! Like Pastors will be held accountable at higher standard by God. I believe for myself that we are each accountable for serving God whole-heartedly, BC has nothing to do with how I serve God in or out of a church. Could you imagine if this man battles with thoughts of suicide? We will all be an accomplice and the blood will be on our hands too. Be careful people, search your own hearts and get healing from the Lord. There are alot of cruel people out there with alot of hurtful things to say. I'm sorry we are all sad by this, alot of us were lied to, etc. I pray for healing to this region and for healing to everyone whose been hurt. Remember, its by God's spirit that HE draws all man near. God Bless all of you who are hurts draw near to God, HIS yoke is easy, when we are weak, HE is made strong.

Fire - Im sorry but the pain and suffering was brought on by BC himself. Stop defending him... And please that is a pathetic reason you give..."he is only human"... yes, we are all humans... but it doesnt give him the right to screw everyone over... I was also one of those people that joined the Bible College that was offered.. Up to now, I never received a refund... Not one cent of what I paid...
If you are such close friends with BC, let him know that the TRUTH will set him free. Why carry all this burden? But that's okay, whatever he does in darkness will all be brought to light... Best believe... Have a great night...

God will not be mocked. He holds those in leadership to a higher standard. Demonizing everyone who leaves and not being willing to examine yourself is foolish. Judgment begins at the house of God. He is doing a purifying work in these last days. Recognize the Holy Spirit as He brings correction, and don't mistake Him for the work of the devil. Moses could not enter the promised land because he did not rightly represent God before the people; he allowed his emotions and anger free reign. David repented, but there were grave consequences to his sin with Bathsheba. Ichabod. Cry out for repentance and maybe God will have mercy on you. Terri Cook loves God and would never leave her husband and break up her family over stress. She is woman of the Word and would only divorce for the reason that is allowed. Many others who have left love Jesus and were horrified at the way He was misrepresented at AFC.

With Love wrote on May 1, 2008 7:36 AM:Please everyone we need to look at the situation with compassion and forgiveness for those remaining . Yes the Pastor is aware of what has happened and only he and God knows where his heart is now. As for those of us who made the choice to leave. Our Trust is in Christ not man, Yes we have been hurt, but only because our eyes were not on Christ. The definition of sin is missing the mark. We sin when we take our eyes of Christ and place it elsewhere. And we sin when all we can do is focus on what Pastor did or didn't do. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. What is it that you are speaking if you are only talking trash, Let it go, why hold on and continue dwelling in the past. Be angry but sin not. Gossip murmuring and backstabbing is sin. WE need to move on, How, read Proverb 3:5-8. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

It is sad to see the building go back to the bank. but it is what it is. we left and that is now the passed. so, press on towards the mark of the prize of the high calling in Christ. and look to Him from which our help comes from. I also just want to encourage everyone who has been hurt just like I was, the scriptures say that "love does not keep records of wrong." As humans, this is hard thing to do -but it is BIBLE. Anyway, I pray BC is healed completely for his salvation's sake and completely restored. I bless & release everyone who has wronged me and hurt me at AFC. It is a beautiful thing to not hold a grudge. Blessings.

Terri Cook does love God. And, unless you have specifically asked Terri and she responded to you there would be no way your comments could be verfiable (even if you believe "you know her"). It's kind of you (I can appreciate that) but still opinion.

B.C claimes to be a leader in the church and this community so as members of the body and this comminity we are asking Barry Cook to stand and give an account for your actions,if nothing wrong has been done then you have nothing to fear but if there is truth to the allegations against you then be a man and speak the truth.

Mark 15:4-5
4 Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, “Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You!”5 But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.

Truth wrote on May 1, 2008 7:49 PM:Okay, how about Matt 11 and 12. Look how man times Jesus responded to the questions regarding doctrine. In Matt 11, Jesus actually turned the temple tables as He said, "My temple will be called a place of prayer for all nations, but you have turned it into a den of thieves."
Read throughout all the Gospels. Jesus gave an account for what He believed and, in some cases, for why He did the things He did while on the earth.
We all know Jesus could have called a legion to rescue Him from the cross, but He had a destiny to fulfill. This is why he didn't answer Pilate. It wasn't because He was hiding from the truth. Actually, He was living it out loud and in the public. Cook would be wise to take up his cross and follow after Jesus.
Re Truthpm wrote on May 1, 2008 8:23 PM:To 6:56pm - I don't understand why Jesus did turn the stones to bread when he could have. I guess He knew His God and didn't have anything to prove, no matter what the accuser said.
And, to Truth at 7:79pm. True. He did answer concerning doctrine. But, In Mark 15:4-5, he did not respond to the accusations that people testified against Him. Obviously, we should be able to see that difference in scripture.
Truth wrote on May 1, 2008 8:44 PM:The difference scripturally is that Jesus did not think to highly of himself to give an account for His conduct when the religious leaders of His time questioned His credibility. The time He held his peace was not about not answering his accusers (they were just a part of the process), it was about going to the cross. His accusers were not important at this stage of his destiny. He went to the cross despite the obvious torture that He would endure for all of us. He laid down His fears and said, "Not My will, but thy will be done." Cook should lay down his fears and admit publically the truth if he really expects to experience true resurrection. He'll have to "die" first. Truth brings deliverance. "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free."

I recall requesting a meeting with him to discuss what direction he believed the church was headed only to hear him bad mouth and put down seemly every church in town. I did not find it very Godly of him to childlessly laugh and mock other pastors to a would be parishor that he did not even know. I can see why people would try and boast about that though...
Go back further with cable broadcasts and commercials that started way before all this bad mouthing started.
Be careful what you say and the authority in which you say it. Speaking something that isn't true, isn't God.
Using data and experiences from years past doesn't qualify you to speak on what is happening and being experienced in the church NOW.
Hearsay is not truth, gossip is not truth, third party information is not truth. I don't suggest you believe me either, go see for yourself.
Otherwise, I can discount your opinion on mere assumption. Your media interpretation is false, I'd be careful what you speak that is mere perception.

Obviously, they are moving forward!

I'm speaking of those members who attended for many, many years, investing thousands of dollars, and energy into the land and building fund. Those of us who were more faithful to the church then our own families or jobs, and who suffered divorce in our own families. I'm speaking of the 4 Elders, 12 Deacons, countless other leaders and other faithful member who are no longer there.
Come on BIFF...as BC would say. Be for real! Upon our exodus, most of us had that "private meeting with BC to discuss the issues at hand." As you can see there were no attempts for resolution. Believe this: so much (first hand) info could be exposed. But we(former members) don't need to put BC on blast because as you can see God is already doing it.

This scripture, outlines how this thing works the best:
Acts 6:11-14
11 Then they secretly induced men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”12 And they stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes; and they came upon him, seized him, and brought him to the council.13 They also set up false witnesses who said, “This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place and the law;14 “for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs which Moses delivered to us.”
We should not be surprise. This is nothing new!

Your lack of love in your posts makes me think you may not be whole hearted in your approach to care and love people the way Christ commanded. Are you sure this isn't a personal attack due to your own hurt and anger with whatever you think BC has done to you? And if so, where is your grace? Do hold others to a higher standard than yourself? I've read that because he is a pastor he is more accountable, but through all these posts I fail to see anyone accepting accountability for themselves without blaming a church or a pastor. He has nothing to loose now. I see a new day dawning. What if God starts using all the hurt preachers and populates heaven with thier zeal. After this nobody should be able to buy him. Also remember Luke 13:24-27, (Jesus' words) "The door to heaven is narrow. Work hard to get in, because many will try to enter, but when the head of the house has locked the door, it will be too late. Then you will stand OUTSIDE the door knocking and pleading, "Lord, open the door for us! But He will reply, 'I do not know you.' I wonder if you discuss amongst yourselves how best to handle this situation because of how things will look for you because of the foreclosure of AFC. First of all, the public does not hold you responsiblie for the foreclosure of AFC. Christians have to pay their bills like everyone else. Your company did your part. AFC failed to meet it's obligation to repay their loan. The public knows that your company has to make a business decision based upon practicalities not personal agendas. Right now you have an offer from an area church who is celebrating 23 years of service in this community. This church has several hundred people who are willing and able bodied and are 100% behind their pastor's decision to make that offer. I hope that you will not lose this opportunity by waiting around too long to accept the offer because you are worried about some public relations fallout. AFC needs to take their 200 members and acquire a building they can afford. 200 members cannot support a 40K a month mortgage or even rent. It is time to make the smart business decision. AFC said they are ready to move on. So let them and let the 1000 plus member church do so as well.

Why wrote on May 4, 2008 6:54 PM:Why is it that whenever people that: are over the top, different from the norm, slightly different from those that are religious, or extremly wild according to some and yet keep everything biblical, help to push a move of God, and is zealous for God and nothing else, teach, or preach a hard word that causes some of the babes whom God wants to finally grow up, or because the HOLY SPIRIT convicts you through a vessel. Why is it these are the people that are caste away and told you are not of God. You are a cult. You are outside of what God told you to do. You are in sin. When these people preach the good ol' boy message then everything is alright, fine and dandy. but when something that comes out of their mouth challenges you to actually do something. All of the sin in the world that everyone commits is tossed on them and they are then told to step out of office because of THEIR sin. If this is the Christianity that we are of, I will not be apart. I became a Christian because they said they are supposed to be different, They live according to the bible and from my readings of the bible, I have yet to find something written that is watered down to the point it has no power. Living in a nation that allows everyone and everything to say you can not say that severly waters down everything everyone says due to Politically correctness, but there is another way, there is something different. Yes I want someone to tell me to my face when I mess up and to tell me "You better get your act together" they way you people have come across. I now understand why some of you have not stayed at that said named church. Because you did not want to grow up and be mature Christians. Very well go on about your way do what you need to do to make sure you and your four go to heaven. But Dont you dare try to kill anyone for you not having the fortitude to grow up and pass the tests that were set before you. You quote scriptures and say thus saith the Lord of Hosts but you are no better then a kid playing red rover. you know it is not what God wants and yet you do it anyway, spoiled brat of a child. You have said your piece, now God says forgive and move on, Grow up, It is immature of you to hold a grudge and to keep someone in damnation because they told the truth about something in you and you decided to leave. Shame on you you spiritual harlot for it is not up to you to decide what is good for you. It is all up to God the father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. You are playing a deadly game of spiritual Adultery and its fruit is showing.

There are two other types of leadership levels in the spirit as seen in the greek. One type denotes a arch type of covering with greater grace to accomplish their calling. The other represents the grace of increased ability. Though they are human it is given from birth and increased by disipline, revelation and spiritual sensitivity. You may not understand this, but all who have it understand. Heb. 6 laying on of hands…elementary teaching…Acts3:4-7 “Look at us” not men but Christ in a man..like it or not..God has always connected with man to do His work in the earth…elementary…Acts3:12..peters defense against someone like you..8-12. I don’t have a comment about this situation right now but your attempt to take away from him was a untruth concerning basic bible doctrine and NT practice. Act 3:12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? Act 3:16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

ministers of reconciliation wrote on May 8, 2008 8:15 AM:I came here from another town because of my sin. I am part of a ministry in the area. The worse thing that happened to us was the pastor and I were removed from ministry. No restoration, no consideration for years of service. Just dismissial and rebuke. I was "meat for the wolves" as stated for sure. And fellow christians stood around and cheered as I was eaten. Most of what was said was false. But anything I said was twisted into a falsehood. Even the parts that were true. I feel for this brother. It took my town almost 20 more years to grow another ministry that could effect the city and not just within the four walls. Now the city is more closed up and more corrupt. All the people complaining did nothing to help but they were quick to tear down. The same is happening here, many pastors although disappointed really miss him. His mantle brought the whole areas mantle up. Do you know how often that comes around. I don't think you do. We won't him back, yes, submitted to his leadership but back in ministry in North County. None of us can replace his gifting. He will develop his character now in ways that will fortify him. But that can only happen in a atmosphere of love and encouragement! Let his leadership restore him and don't let a spotlight of NC go out. Are there not any ambassadors of Christ out there, ministers of reconciliation. If the concerns are very sensitive issues and if the details dont concern you. Let his oversight handle it and trust in the Lord. I for one, am calling all pastors to call him and let him know how much we miss him, love him and need him. This will release him to be healed. Come on wrote on May 8, 2008 1:48 PM:What I would like to know is why everyone is on the bandwagon to support Barry Cook, to "restore" him, encourage him and let him know he is supported and loved. Who is comforting the 600 families, leaders and elders who had the good sense to get out when they saw what was really going on? Who is ministering the the hurt, disillusioned youth and parents who put in their time, blood sweat and tears only to find out of the charade that was taking place? Some of these people helped plant this church and they are gone! Only 2 of the original church planters even remain (besides Barry) Doesn't the bible say we are to comfort eachother? Aren't we supposed to lift up those who are feeble and wounded? But yet we are being encouraged to minister to the very individual who caused all of this devastation through his own selfish motives. How many people have walked away from this place feeling cheated and lied to and are now unable trust leaders or have left the church completely and backslid? I for one do not feel sorry for this Pastor, I feel sorry for his flock. This is truly an example of reaping what you sow. While I understand Barry is human, there are consequences to secret sins. Nothing is a secret to God. We are seing the consequences now. Oh and by the way, I was there for a few years and witnessed a lot of the same things others have posted. Especially the bad mouthing of other churches and ministers. I now go to one of those churches and I wish I had gone years before. Remember 1 Corinthians 13!
And to the others no matter how or why they left (because saying for certain in any direction for the whole group would be assumptive), God knows how to take care of his own.
So, I will never get off the "bandwagon" of encouraging others.
So continue to go forward and encourage all those who have stayed and gone if you are stronger and healthier now. This would be the mark of a Christian. To site a quote posted earlier "Wholeness is its own reward."

WHY? Because you feel sorry for him now? HE CHOSE HIS SIN, HE CHOSE TO LEAD A SECRET LIFE THAT CAUGHT UP WITH HIM. HE CHOSE TO TRY TO COVER UP THE MESS AND LOST HIS SHEEP IN THE PROCESS BECAUSE HE CHOSE TO NOT REPENT!!
Now that's a MESSED up, dysfunctional bunch of people...Call it what you want, but that is only adding fuel to the already BURNING fire - that is plain ridiculous and I cannot see any kind of approval from the Word on that one!

We have seen blazing accusations on this blog and many who with sound doctine through scriptures have weeded through gossip, conjectures and the like. Apparently, there are lots and lots of Christian out there who want more than hard religious judgement under the pretense of restoration and condemnation.
I applaud this pastor who is operating out of the love of Christ. Cleary he realizes 1 Cor 13:4-8, 1 Cor 5:14-20 & Gal 5:22-23.
These are more than just terrific scriptures but worthy of reading and following. This pastor is doing both. We can learn from his example.
Once again wrote on May 9, 2008 10:44 AM:You can only restore someone who humbly accepts rebuke, submits to authority and acknowledges the sin and repents. The man accused has done none of these things to date! Instead he brought in a bunch of preachers who were strangers even to the congregation who stood before them and said "Your pastor has been found innocent." This video was posted on AFC's website for months! What exactly was the pastor accused of that he was found innocent? They never addressed the accusations. You could probably still see this message on youtube or AFC's website. Bottom line, no humility = no restoration. And who said there is no proof to these accusations? God is awsome and great but this church really damaged alot of lives. I really dont know how Barry and Carolyn can show their faces here in Oside or S.D. for that matter.

It causes them to take a hard look at what they have done and repent. Our God is gracious, but he is Just and Holy. David humbled himself, repented and was called a friend of God regardless of his sin. It is his sign of humility that caused God to be moved. But still, David brought the sword upon his own household and bloodline because of his actions. There are consequences to unrighteous acts but God is still merciful if we first repent and ask to be submit to his correction.

Confront Sin dont ignore it. wrote on May 10, 2008 2:35 PM:The bible is clear about how to handle an unrepentent sinning brother. Sin that is ignored will corrupt the whole body - 1 Corinthians 5:6-7 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. Sinning Elders are to be rebuked - 1 Timothy 5:20 Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear. Sexual immorality IN PARTICULAR is to be confronted, exposed, judged and dealt with - 1 Corinthians 5:5 deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 1Cor. 5: Confront sin, don't ignore it. Math 18: Confront sin, don't ignore it. 1Tim. 5: Confront sin, don't ignore it. Titus 1: Confront sin, don't ignore it..
1 Cor 5: Confront sin, don't ignore it.
James 5: Confront sin, don't ignore it.. 1 Thes. 5: Confront sin, don't ignore it..Gal 6: Confront sin, don't ignore it. Titus 3: Confront sin, don't ignore it. This is where AFC failed and that is why God sent his wrath upon them.

However, I think many were hoping to follow the biblical pattern of restoration; "If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offence. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back. But if you are unsuccessful, take one or two others with you and go back again, so that everything you say may be confirmed by 2 or 3 witnessess. If the person still refuses to listen, take your case to the Church, then if he or she won't accept the church's decision, treat that person as a pagan or tax collector." MATT 18:15-17
There is no scriptual basis for BC being absent/excused from this restoration process. I know this endeavor may seem daunting for him, but to whom much is given much is required. He taught us not to "let up" and to hold on with bulldog tenacity and that's what is being displayed by some former AFC members. I hope to hear more from you!
Still Waiting wrote on May 12, 2008 1:56 PM:I am still waiting for the truth from Barry Cook. Ron Satrape can not speak for Barry Cook. Just like Barry Cook can not speak for Pastor Vince Limon. The bible is clear that we need to go to the sinning brother in this case it is Barry Cook, when I tried I was not allowed to see him. So yes I am still waiting.
Hear Hear wrote on May 12, 2008 2:19 PM:I whole heartedly agree with Still Standing! Nobody ever said that there was no forgiveness or restoration for BC. Only that he needed to admit to the sin, repent and submit to leadership for restoration. I also believe it is highly inappropriate for CR to remain at AFC in any capacity. It is truly bad judgement on the part of leaders to allow these individuals to remain without any reprimand.
THINK on these things wrote on May 12, 2008 3:14 PM:Phi 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Phi 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Phi 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Phi 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Phi 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Mat 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Mat 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Controlling events is just as evil for you as it is for him. I am sure if we knew all details we would understand, maybe not agree but understand some of the whys decisions were made. But that is not realistic and very dysfunctional also! Part of emotional maturity on all parts is being able to move forth without more damage occuring. If you were truly whole you would know this is ALSO the truth!

I have contacted AFC and have also been in contact with Ron Satrape regarding a meeting with the leadership of AFC, my e-mail records show that on 3/18/08 Mr satrape indicated that he would get back to me with a date for this meeting. I have yet to hear from him. I am still available to meet anytime you are. You have my contact information.

Whirlwind wrote on May 12, 2008 7:38 PM:Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
"Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is the whole duty of a man.
For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether it is good or whether it is evil."
A lover of Jesus wrote on May 12, 2008 11:48 PM: This situation is just like it was with Jesus. He was forsaken right before he was crucified....Barry is not the one that needs to repent. I think all you who once followed and served in his ministry need to repent for your comments and lack of support. some of you know how to really kick a person when their down.
Barry i have one comment to make. My prayers are with you. I dont know what kind of bad choices youve made its none of my business. you planted many seeds in my life when i was down and hurting, i was blessed by your sermons. man of God just like Job...Hang in there God will help you and lift you up....David was a man after Gods own heart and I know God loves you....your sister in the Lord
To Larry wrote on May 13, 2008 11:52 AM:You crack me up! but you are so right!!!have you seen the other blogs?
Matt wrote on May 13, 2008 1:56 PM:I was on your side before before, but as I watch your blogs I see something else. Many of you I feel your pain. There is also another spirit working along side of you and I don't think you notice. Many of you posting, unless it is one person primarly, are right but unjust in biblical application. You see one clear way but don't leave room unless you have it your way! Your points are many times valid in nature, but not correct in justice and mercy! The person who wrote about wolves a few blogs up, well, I was hot at, but now I am beginning to see how they could say that. Many of you are obsessed and sound like you may have many other emotional and developmental issues. Your social dynamics are based soley on a present circomstance. Meaning you can go on from here NOW if you really wished. You are developing bad habits of thought focus that is why you can't go on. Many of you are being pulled into this soup opera because you refuse to take your mind under control. Truth or not! Some of you have become so obsessive with this it is becoming inordinate in nature and beginning to sound concerning. Of course he never meant bull dog to this spirit, but of Christan faith, love virtue, intercession. Amoung a few it seems you eat drink and sleep this stuff. That is wicked and harmful to your own soul. That is not his fault. But yours, hard maybe, truthful a fact.
ginom wrote on May 13, 2008 11:33 PM:Larry, Koolaid is owned by Kraft Foods NYSE: KFT The stock is at $31.14 today. A press release came out today that they expect it to go due to a large order of Koolaid purchased by someone in Oceanside. Better buy now!!
you guys are kids wrote on May 14, 2008 9:27 AM:I am a former pubilc servant of Oeanside. Your perspective is one sided. It is easy to see reading these that most of the post is one person until someone who loves koolaide came along. I would not wont you back in any church of mine. Maybe some of the other that have left but you guys need mental help. You must not have real lives or hearts. These are the things that make men great. By his internal perspective and asking the right questions to get help as needed from the right people. Whats done is done! Pastor Cook I have watched this happen to pastors in the area for 30 years. Keep your head up! Your greater days are ahead. Don't be pressured by these baffons. Talk is cheap anyway. Actions speak louder. Keep doing good and growing and you will grow past all these children! Grace to the graceful and judgement to the judgers!!
Tee-Jay wrote on May 14, 2008 10:42 AM:Pastor Barry, I still love you! this is Tee-Jay. I don't care what you did, thats your business, i take the good of everything you poured in my spirit...wow kicking a man while he's down...wow...i bet that makes you feel so much bigger...leave the man alone...its not our place to speak on him...whatever he did is between him and God...there 2 AFC's 1 is All For Christ the other is AFC A Friggin Circus...which side are you on!!
Tee-Jay
ginom wrote on May 14, 2008 2:42 PM:Yeah i admit. Actions do speak louder and BC was getting a lot of action. God had grace for a while then he let his judgement come down and that is why AFC and BC is where they are now. Where was that public servant when BC was cursing and slandering us from the pulpit?? as for Tee-Jay... u just convinced me to buy more stock in kool aid. Larry what is the stock at today???
Larry wrote on May 14, 2008 3:57 PM:KFT closed at $31.71/share, propelled primarily by higher than anticipated Koolaid sales.
hey Tee-Jay wrote on May 14, 2008 4:42 PM:What about AFC being A Foreclosed Church
Then it doesn't matter which side you are on.
Truth wrote on May 14, 2008 6:30 PM:AFC: A Foreclosed Church....there is no denying that for sure.
Larry, Ginom, and the rest of you guys...it is good to have some men on here that will speak the truth and cut through all the "girly" wishy washy, feel good, can't we all just get along ick!! The amount of complete deception on some of these folks is so sad...but if you want to be deceived you will be and it looks like BC has some takers.
Larry wrote on May 15, 2008 8:15 PM:This thread is getting old. I've used my best material and besides, it's a real pain in the neck to continue to get access to this article. Would it be possible for the crack NC Times reporters to dig up some more dirt on BC and post a new article? That way I could post my clever comments more quickly and avoid the early onset of carpal tunnel. Throw a guy a bone, will ya?
Forgiven much wrote on May 16, 2008 5:44 PM:I am with TJ, we should continue to rally all of us who feel this way. "HE WHO HAS BEEN FORGIVEN MUCH LOVES MUCH" AND THIS STORY IS TO BE TOLD WHENEVER THE GOSPEL IS PREACHED...Jesus Christ" He preached hard and solid but was so kind and loving when I had a hard time. My turn Dr. Cook you didn't agree with my stuff but you helped restore me. Count me in on the AFC 4 Christ side. Of course they will debate who is really on Christ side. But WE know!!! No one must have ever have shown them mercy or they would give it NOW! It is like red Koolaide Larry..the blood of Jesus..is bitter to drink but cleanses from ALL unrightouness! The Blood is applied to His heart! Let him walk out his salvation with fear and trembling! The Blood is applied!
Have your rally but the Glory wont be there wrote on May 19, 2008 2:05 PM:I like the scripture that says to whom much is given much is expected!!! Barry Cook was given much and God expected much. He disappointed God, his family, his friends, those who laborered along side of him. Many people were hurt and there will be a reckoning for it.
What the heck wrote on Jun 3, 2008 6:40 PM:And you call yourselves Christians, Ok now whatever. A bunch of kids if you ask me, some of you really need to di deep as to where your real bitterness comes from because no matter what you will continue to carry it for the rest of your life. Its sad to say but when you lay your mouth on someone else or even others such as children do you ever wonder why you don't own a home or think about wether your not your home will foreclose hmmm what comes around will certainly come right back at you ten times faster than you think. Be careful to what you speak!!!!
