OCEANSIDE ---- A search is on for a man and woman who disappeared after leaving Oceanside Harbor in a fishing boat Thursday morning, a Coast Guard news release said.
The man, Josh Hartman, and his fiancee, identified only as Anna, left the harbor about 7:30 a.m. on their 32-foot fishing boat, Pelican, the release said. They were scheduled to return at 3 p.m.
At 8 p.m. Thursday, Hartman's father and brother notified the Coast Guard that the boat had not returned, the release said. A helicopter crew searched until sunrise Friday morning with no sign of the vessel.
Shortly after 8 a.m. Friday, the Coast Guard dispatched a C-130 airplane to continue the search along the Oceanside coastline.
