Prenatal yoga classes offered

Youth theater to perform 'Peter Pan'

Family film series kicks off May 17
SAN MARCOS ---- Join residents of San Elijo Hills for "In the Park After Dark," a series of free family-friendly films to be shown outdoors on a 40-foot-wide screen in San Elijo Park at San Elijo and Elfin Forest roads.
Films will be shown beginning at dark (about 8 p.m.) May 17, June 21, July 26 and Aug. 23. Guests are invited to come early and picnic in the square. Bring blankets and beach chairs.

Art show set for May 17-18

Volunteers sought for OGHS Grad Nite
ESCONDIDO ---- The Orange Glen High School Grad Nite crew is seeking volunteers to help put on the Grad Nite celebration for this year's graduates.
The work schedule is as follows:
-- 8 a.m.-noon May 17: Construction/paint sets.
-- 8 a.m. May 24: Set-up begins. Volunteers needed to help construct sets, decorate booths and organize supplies. Meet in the gym.
-- 8 a.m. May 25: Day two of set-up. Volunteers needed all day.
-- May 29: Grad Nite. Volunteers needed to work different booths and entertainment areas throughout the night. First shift is 9 p.m.-1 a.m.; second shift is 1-5 a.m.
-- 8 a.m. May 31: Cleaning up.

Escondido Police to hold Town Hall meetings
ESCONDIDO ---- Escondido Police Chief Jim Maher will address the community in a series of Town Hall meetings. He will speak about the recently introduced concept of geographic policing, as well as the department's immigration policy. Attendees will be given the opportunity to ask questions on any police-related topic.
The meetings are from 7-9 p.m. on four separate dates in different areas of the city. Free child care. The dates and locations are:

Bankruptcy class offered
ESCONDIDO ---- Vista attorney Richard Schwabe will discuss bankruptcy at a People's Law School class offered through Escondido Adult School at 6:30 p.m. May 20 at San Pasqual High School, 3300 Bear Valley Road.
Schwabe will discuss the differences between Chapter 7 and 13 and how the new bankruptcy law affects filings. He also will talk about the "homeowners exemption" and how to claim it.

SM Business Expo set for May 22

Children's Hospital auxiliary to meet
ESCONDIDO ---- The Escondido Unit of the Rady Children's Hospital Women's Auxiliary will meet at 10 a.m. May 21 at the Escondido Country Club, 1800 Escondido Country Club Lane. The meeting will be followed by the unit's annual installation luncheon.
The Escondido Unit is made up of women from throughout North County and outlying areas. The group is looking for new members who are willing to donate their time and talents to help raise funds for the Rady Children's Hospital Auxiliary that will benefit children throughout the county.

Gala to benefit Neighborhood Healthcare
ESCONDIDO ---- Neighborhood Healthcare will hold its 10th annual Pace Setter fundraising gala, "A Decade of Dreams Come True," on June 14 at Orfila Winery.
Longtime supporters Susan and George Niece will be honored at the event. The evening will include wine tasting, and silent and live auctions.
Tickets are $125. Sponsorships are available. The goal is to raise more than $100,000 for the nonprofit organization's endowment fund.
