TEMECULA ---- Those with a dream of being in a movie will have a shot at stardom Saturday when an open casting call for extras will be held in Temecula.

However, there's one slight movie business caveat: The production company is only looking for people in their 20s or 30s for a movie titled "The Ugly Truth."

The call has gone out for men and women to portray patrons at a balloon festival. So those out there who have patronized the annual Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival just might have a little bit of an advantage.

They also will be casting for specific rolls, such as "boom guy," "cable guy" and "cameraman," according to a news release from the Inland Empire Film Commission, which serves as a liaison between the film industry and the city of Temecula.

The pay, should you be selected, is $75 for eight hours with overtime and doubletime offered accordingly. Those interested must be able and willing to work overtime if needed.

Casting will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Champagne Room at Embassy Suites Hotel, 29345 Rancho California Road in Temecula.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or show credentials permitting them to work in the states. Those interested are asked to bring two forms of identification that can include a driver's license, passport, military identification, social security card or a copy of their birth certificate.

Also, applicants are asked to bring a clear digital photo, a smiling shot, taken from head to upper hip, against a light background. On the back of the photo list your full legal name, address, phone numbers, height, weight, sizes and measurements and any special skills.

For a fee of $1.50, the production company can take the photo Saturday.

The filming for the movie will happen June 3 and an estimated 20 people may be needed for a second day of shooting on June 7.

For further information, call the film commission at (909) 779-6700.
