WILDOMAR ---- Two fires in the same area of Wildomar on Wednesday charred from 12 to 15 acres of brush, officials said.
The first blaze was reported just before 12:30 p.m. in the area of Monte Vista Drive and Frederick Street, east of Interstate 15 and north of Baxter Road, according to Riverside County fire officials.
Firefighters quickly knocked down those flames but then, about 3 p.m., a second fire broke out near the same spot, officials said.
One firefighter was treated by paramedics for a heat-related injury, but no other injuries were reported and no structures were damaged, fire officials said.
The cause of both fires is still being investigated.
