OCEANSIDE: Woman beaten, stabbed in front of child
By North County Times | ∞
OCEANSIDE ---- An Oceanside man was arrested for allegedly beating and stabbing his live-in girlfriend Sunday while their baby watched, Officer Kim Rainwater said.
Police were called to the residence, in the 200 block of South Horne Street, at 9:22 a.m., Rainwater said. A 33-year-old woman was found with bruises and stab wounds and taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries, not believed to be life-threatening, Rainwater said.
Officers found the suspect, a 40-year-old man who lives with the victim and their 1-year-old child, walking nearby with blood dripping from his hands and blood on his shoes, Rainwaiter said. The man, Allan Wilson, was arrested and is expected to be charged with assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence and child endangerment, the officer said.
He remained in the Vista jail Monday night on $155,000 bail and is expected to appear in court Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., according to jail records.

Lisa wrote on Aug 26, 2008 9:01 AM:And there are people in the other blog complaining that DV is so harsh on men, and men are unfairly accused of domestic violence.
It's a sad world when the one you supposedly love thinks nothing of picking up a knife and beating and stabbing you. Pathetic.
Hey Lisa wrote on Aug 26, 2008 9:12 AM:Sadly predicable. I'm sure there was SOME sign that this guy might be just a tad violent. To just be cruising along as a loving husband and father, and then suddenly turning into a crazed attacker, is EXTREMELY rare. Obviously I don't know these folks, but I'm guessing the wife might have seen this coming, and either didn't see, or ignored, some way out before the dude went postal on her. Not blaming her for the violence, but maybe she should have left the guy before it got to this point. Please ladies and gentleman, if you think the one you love might just try to hurt or even kill you, you need to somehow, someway, LEAVE.

chrgrbltz wrote on Aug 26, 2008 11:18 AM:To: "the more", the following is a direct copy & paste of the article: "a 40-year-old man who lives with the victim"...nothing here about the pair being married. You and "good reporting" need either eyeglasses or Basic English Skills - 101a. Stay Single, please...
To Hey Lisa wrote on Aug 26, 2008 11:20 AM:...sadly predictable!!! I agree with Lisa and Cheap bond. Let's hope she does not go back to this situation. You have no way of knowing if this was the first time he laid a hand on her!!! I left an abusive husband before it got to guns and knives when my children were little. I was raised in a loving and two parent family honme. You cannot blame this woman for the way he conducted himself. Many women like myself leave the perpetrator, even though you leave does not mean you are always safe from them!!! I hope that she turns to the domestic violence center in Oceanside and has the courage to leave this coward. Instead of waiting for him to finish his anger management classes and whatever else the court imposes on him for his Unacceptable behavior!!!

Diane wrote on Aug 26, 2008 12:24 PM:Interesting. Blood coagulates very quickly and he was caught with blood dripping from his hands? and shoes? I think NCT has hired a new reporter because lately, the stories are exaggerated ALOT to try to make it appealing. It just makes the dude sound really uneducated more than anything.
And the chick should have opened up a can of .....never would this have happened with me, ESPECIALLY with my child in the same building. Nothing worse than an angry 'mother bear.'

LTR or married wrote on Aug 26, 2008 5:14 PM:Either way the chances are the guy will get the shaft when the woman gets the gold. Alimony palimony... If guys get married or live together, they should do it with a woman that has a bigger income than theirs, that way when the relationship fails he'll (most likely) be rewarded financially.
societys wrong wrote on Aug 31, 2008 12:26 AM:I really appreciate how people just want to put their comments out like they know what really happened ...ever thought that the female drove them man to insanity and he flipped out...it is possible Especially if the female has a history of violence. Self-defense never occured. We always want to think the men are continuous wife beaters..
