Recession, mes-mession
| ∞
I am the first to admit that I am no biz whiz. Call me crazy, but with gas shooting to 4 bucks a gallon, house prices steadily slipping and nearly every sector and business laying off, buying out or offering "voluntary separation programs" ... seems recessiony to me. Yet the powers that be keep telling us "No, no, no ... we're fine!" Really, what's the worst that could happen if they just admitted it?
Would the economy finally tip and take a straight nose dive, crashing into bread lines and what not? Or we would we just say "Thanks, Captain Obvious"?

I have worked in housing construction for 24 years and now I can't find a job to use my skills. It's time the Bush administration wake up and do something better than cover there own butts.
