Political shuffling continues ...
By: Rusty | ∞
Looks like the Thanksgiving holiday weekend may end with a slight shakeout in the political scene as the Republicans line up for a variety of open seats in the GOP June primary.
The seats are coming open thanks to term limits and scandal.
It seems 74th District Assemblyman Mark Wyland may shift his sights toward the 38th district state Senate seat being vacated by Bill Morrow who is being termed out. Wyland had been seen as a contender for Randy "Duke" Cunningham's 50th Congressional District seat, which he is leaving due to scandal, but that race is attracting a lot of attention including Morrow's and former Assemblyman Howard Kaloogian's.
Then, of course, there will be a battle brewing for Wyland's seat, which he has to give up due to term limits.
Enjoy the peace of the holidays, folks. Any bets on how nasty the primary season may get?
