TEMECULA: Last call for early charity walk registration
By The Californian | ∞
TEMECULA ---- Early registration for the inaugural "A Walk to Remember" and an opportunity to memorialize a deceased child on event shirts ends Wednesday, organizers said.
The $20 walker fee will entitle the participant to an awareness ribbon, T-shirt and memorial program.
The walk takes place Oct. 26 at the Harveston Community Park, 28582 Harveston Drive. There will be a memorial service in memory of babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, sudden infant death syndrome and other causes of death. Proceeds will benefit Empty Cradle, a support group for parents who have experienced the loss of a baby.
Early registration allows babies' names to be printed on T-shirts: E-mail Kimberly Adams at dizainsby@aol.com.
While early registration ends Wednesday, people may register up to the day of the event starting at 12:30 p.m. The walk will start at 2 p.m. The Riverside County Chapter of Empty Cradle meets from 7 to 9 p.m. the second Wednesday at the Mary Phillips Senior Center, 41845 Sixth St., in Temecula.
