By North County Times | ∞
CARLSBAD ---- School renovation projects in Carlsbad are moving forward, with the school board set to vote Wednesday on contracts with local architecture and design companies.
At its regular meeting Wednesday, the Carlsbad Unified School District board of trustees will vote on recommendations to hire a company to design Carlsbad High School's temporary food service facility and another to design new classrooms at Aviara Oaks Middle School.
If approved, the agreements will give Carlsbad-based MGPA Architecture Inc. $132,575 for the work at Aviara Oaks and Oceanside-based LR Design Associated Inc. $39,000 for the work at Carlsbad High School.
The projects would be paid for with money from Proposition P, the $198 million bond measure voters passed in 2006.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive.
